Reviews for Enfield / Rocky Mount KOA

| GREAT stopover

By user-4917182... on 2017-10-23.

This campground is just .8 miles off of 95- just enough to be peaceful and quiet. Wooded- in the pines- with level sites, clean restrooms, easy driving loops for trash, dump station etc. we did late check in and the place was literally silent. Family and pet friendly. Highly recommend!!

| Okay little park

We wanted a pullthru that was long enough to not unhook. They were able to accommodate us easily. Wifi password didn't work, but no big deal. Quiet campground, even with a Boy Scout troop in the park. We would stop here again.

| One night stand

This is an ok place. It had just rained so the sites were extremely wet. The owner led us to our site, and provided a wooden pallet to step out on. There will be new owners on the 29th of May. I do hope they are as nice as these owners. We stayed in a Motor home, so we didn't check out the facilities, too wet to walk around. Internet access is good for only 8 hours, and one device. Over the air TV was virtually non existent. Nice shady spot, sites are close together. Willing to stay again if it hasn't rained.

| Horrible Management

By user-5238902... on 2018-05-17.

Stayed one night week of 3/5/18. Good: Easy access to freeway. Nice, clean dog area. Clean site. Nice showers (although not up to par with other KOA’s). Bad: Shower states “Cleaning at 1100”. Cleaning lady came in at 0830 when I was showering. No knock on the door or anything. Then manager or managers son (I’m guessing) came in and lest the bathroom house door open (25 deg.). Later, while daughter was playing on playground with dog (Golden Retriever) walking around (off leash - not another soul around for the entire hour that we were out - except mgr/mgr son working in a fence about 100 yes away) while I was on the phone, mgr/mgr son walked all the way over to where I was at and stood in front of me (while I’m on the phone with my work) and interrupted me to say that my dog is off leash and may bite someone. I said “no one her but me and my daughter”. He left and came back throwing the camp rules at me and saying that he can throw me out if he feels like it. I know that my dog was off leash - no one around, anywhere, but this guy was very rude and threatening. Not a good experience at all

Park needs work. Dangerous shoreline connections. Muddy. Management nice.

| Good place along 95 in northern North Carolina

Within a mile of 95 exit 154. Level sites, friendly staff. Quiet, shaded sites.

| Only place available

We stopped here for one night because it was the only place we could find a Spot for miles. Management was nice but boy does this place need work. Sites are all dirty, no stone or cement, huge roots in parking areas. So much so our levelers had a hard time. Camper next to us started a fire right behind our bus at air conditioning intake and filled our bus with smoke from their fire. Area here is beautiful but this park needs some work, could have stayed in an parking lot and saved $40.

| Not much for your money

This campground has seen better days. Just decent enough for an overnight stay. Convenient to I-95. Hoping the owners are in the process of updating since we noticed all new electrical boxes at the front pull thru sites and a couple of tons of gravel really needing to be distributed. Surprised it wasn t more ready for the season since we arrived post Memorial Day. We had a very large pull-thru with water and 50 amp service. Site #11. There is a dump with easy access. Pool is closed and looks like it hasn t been used in years. Owners not very accommodating when we requested a different site due to leveling issues, even though there were many open sites that remained empty the next morning. Perhaps once that gravel gets down it would be better. We checked in around 7 pm, with a 37 MH towing. Quiet night. Poor OTA reception. WiFi was pretty good. Strong Sprint cell signal. Not my expected KOA experience. I probably would not stay here again.
