Train runs at all times of the day and night. shooting of a police officer there a couple years ago by a "regular" living here.
This place is beautiful and quaint. Such a fun place for warm weather! There's a nice lake and dock, we were able to take some beautiful pictures. The man running the place woke up in the middle of the night to help us find a place to park and was very welcoming. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a quick stay!
Good:Friendly staff except for woman with tatoos. She was grouchy & rude. Close to Dayton for sight seeing. We had site 75 which was in the point of a triangle. It was a large, shady, level site with view of one of the ponds. Fishing was good in the other pond & decent in the swimming pond. Buoy surrounding the swimming area with a platform, but no life guard. Lawn was mowed nicely. Bad:Train right next to the campground. Geese on beach where swimming area is. Bathrooms are dirty and old. Stayed here in a motorhome with tow. Would stay here again as it is the most convenient campground to the sites in Dayton, Springfield, and not to far from Columbus.
