First place we visited with our new class A motorhome and they were happy to help the newbies. We were in off season but the kids still had fun fishing and especially playing the giant checkers. Place is very clean and well kept. We are scheduling another visit soon.
First site visited and staff very helpful and friendly. Everything was clean, collected your garbage daily and sites very well kept. They have a healthy fishing pond and kids loved the giant checkers. We are planning to go back soon!
Smaller campground for modern 45' Class A with 4 slides. Sites are gravel, level camp ground very clean, with trash pick up 11am everyday. Staff friendly and always talking with you while walking. Didn't use camp provided Wi-Fi or shower houses. Close to Erie less 10 minute drive from I-90 & Peach St. exit. Would stay at again if in the area. Numerous activity areas, for the family with children.
I mainly came here to renew my KOA card before 5/31 for the bonus points. Only KOA along my route that didn't have bad reviews. As soon as I got settled, it POURED & poured the rest of the night so I didn't get to go to their ice cream social. Seems like family activities fill up their calendar
Nice Campground. They were full for Columbus Day weekend, but they found a spot for us. They served an excellent turkey dinner (potluck) on Saturday. Was especially nice for us as this also our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Would stay here again, if in the area. The WiFi is poor, though
Tried calling this KOA but they were closed between 12 and 4. We showed up around 330 to find slots with sites that were available. As we were looking at those a woman next-door in a mobile home came over to open up the KOA Office for us. She was the owner and her name was Beth. She was very polite and very helpful. Being very early in the season most of the sites were still very muddy. She put us on a pull through site with full hook ups that wasn’t as muddy as the back in sites. A few of the groundcrew that were there greeted us and talk wirh us and were very friendly. This campground looks like it would be a very fun place to be at once the season gets nicer. We would definitely come here again!
We were in Erie for a family wedding and it was Roar on the Shore in Erie. I called 6 weeks before a spot. The bikers we all very nice and quite. On Monday night two RV's from Canada moved in. They partied at full volume until 1 AM. No one from park came to tell them to shut it down even thought quite times are 10 PM -8 AM. Not impressed. Lots for families to do, nice pool. Laundry in basement down what appears to be a converted boat ramp.
Stayed two nights in a travel trailer mid-September. Cheek by jowl sites. We were right next to a busy road, so a fair amount of traffic noise, especially beginning early in the morning. Wi-fi was completely inadequate even fairly close to the office/store.
Too bad I was only staying one night on my way elsewhere. Some road noise, sketchy cell phone reception...but worth it!! Clean, great amenities, nice layout! Will definitely be back!
