Rolled in after office hours in pouring rain. While looking at park map for available sites, a kind gentleman opened up for me saying he just finished bingo and couldn't stand see someone outside in the rain. Gave us our Good Sam discount, checked us in and told me to pick any open spot right next to the office. We've stayed here before and it's a really nice park, quiet, yet close to I-75. If you want a good, clean overnight spot or staying for a few days, give it a try. It really did turn out to be a "fair harbor."
We stayed 3 nights while visiting some area attractions. The layout includes a centrally located lake and comfortable sites. As an added attraction, the goat herd toward the back of the property provides a point of interest for children and adults alike. Staff was helpful and courteous. It is a busy place but we sure would do it again.
Very well maintained....all amenities are updated. Will return for sure.
Enjoy that "State Park" feeling w/over 80 pull-thrus, quietly nestled on 100 acres. 30/50 amp sites, city water/sewer, free WiFi/cable! Just 2/10 mile W off I-75 (Exit 135), minutes from mid-state attractions & the Georgia National Fairgrounds/Agricenter!
