Fall Creek Falls State Park

One of the best parks in the south. Lots of hiking trails, bike trails, waterfalls, swimming, fishing, ziplines, horseback riding, golf, dinning, cabins, playgrounds, an more. We love the area. Campground has some unlevel sites an more detail should of been put into most sites before they paved them. The bathhouse in A is new. Also A is the best area for kids because playground sits in the middle of loop with large grass field. B loop has most of sewer hookups an shaded sites. All roads are narrow with trees to watch out for hitting a camper. Although we saw several large rigs make it around tight areas just fine. Campground itself gets 3.5 stars but whole park gets a 5. Call campground check in if your unsure bout what sites would work best for you. We stayed in travel trailer an will be back

Do not come the Pikeville way. Very narrow. Come the other way into the main entrance of the park.

Stayed here before the season really kicked in to avoid the crowds. It's a very popular park, for good reason. The trails are great, campsites a little close together, but adequate. The shower house was clean. We stayed We'd thru Sat, the park really filled up on Friday. Deer are everywhere in the campground.

Road from Pikeville very narrow and windy, many switchbacks! Road to Spencer was easy! Park is great!

Spent four nights here. Definitely come in South entrance off of Route 111. Lots of natural beauty here, but it was a mad house our whole stay. Too many big rigs in a campground meant for small ones. Poor trees end up being dinged every few hours. Every site had multiple cars, multiple motorized toys and unsupervised kids. Not my idea of camping. Noise from people, carts, kids, music well into each night. Better choices nearby.

Large campground. Many sites with sewer. Great hiking with beautiful views and falls. Restaurant and inn have just closed for demolition and reconstruction, which is estimated to take two years. Nature center is being rebuilt, as well. Camp store is well stocked. Showers are clean and water is HOT! All park employees are polite and helpful.

Largest sp in Tenn. Saw review in Southern Living mag and decided to come. Park is really off the beaten path and you wonder if you are ever going to get there for the first time. We had reservations but the site they sent us to was very small for our rig. While trying to get to check in branch over road took off refrig vent. Ugh. Next site un-level as are most sites. That is our biggest complaint that sites were way too slanted, and not maintained. Stay away from C section. Golf course nice, olympic swim pool, horseback riding, zip line and hiking to see falls. Trail maps leave much to be desired. We left early and did get a refund for other days

This is such a fun state park. There are tons of hiking trails ranging from easy to difficult and good for all ages. We were there with a 6 and 2 year old and they both did great on the Fall Creek Falls trail (although it is a bit steep). There is a swimming pool (costs $2.50 per person to swim) and Blue Bell ice cream parlor. Yum! They also have zip lining available in the park for a fee (not sure how much since our kids were too little to do it). There is a village with shops and restaurants available as well. The village make it look more like a national park. The playground is wonderful and the bathrooms were clean. We arrived on a Saturday and the park was crowded, but cleared out Sunday afternoon. I definitely want to come back!

How can anyone complain----amazing wildlife everywhere you look. My favorite park --period. Sites are RV sites in the mountains. Most are level--as possible. New Wifi It's just a great place to relax--camping with all the mountain charm. Waterfalls --hiking trails to scenery that will calm your nerves. If you want it bring it with you. You'll be happy.

Waterfalls every where--but you have to stop and look. We've been to the Nature center before but never seen the falls so fabulous. Swinging bridge is a blast--,yes--even for a old man. D loop is the best sites I've seen anywhere. Yes--it took 2 blocks to level--, very easy to level and set up. All utilities hook up "normal" ---did I say full hook ups. Great park--,nicest people.

Stayed for 2 nights early July. We called the day of to make reservations and was limited on choices. We ended up in area C, although I would agree with the review earlier suggesting that D is better. C was very cramped. We did not get to see any of the other camping areas. We did not have sewer which was not a problem with us only staying two nights. We had a great time hiking and seeing the gorgeous waterfalls. My husband fished and caught a bunch of small fish. The park map is hard to read! Some of the sites are very unlevel, but then alot were level. They said they do not offer the military discount in prime season. All in all, a great experience!
