Very nice peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake from my site. Interesting to get here as you have to negotiate a good deal of traffic, but worth it.
Spacious sites abound. I stayed on sites B14 and A25. Only issue I had was with maintaining a cellular signal. Campground is in flight path to/from RDU airport so every time a plane flew overhead the signal would eventually drop. It's called multipath. A giant piece of metal moving over your head is a perfect source of such. Multipath is when part of the radio signal takes a non-direct / longer path instead of the direct path. This reflection comes in later. This creates ghosting on television sets and destroys binary bits. The signal is either canceled out or distorted by multipath when everything comes back together. This is a prob is you require a reliable internet connection for working remote. I even have $500 Wilson Weboost and that does not remedy the problem. Other than that, the campground is awesome! We paid around $20 a night.
We stayed for Thanksgiving weekend in 2017. Our site was on the lake with a steep drop off behind the RV to the lake. Very shady but a good view of Falls Lake. There are no sewer hookups at each site, but there is a clean, two lane dump station that's easy to use on the way out. You can reserve a particular site. We will be returning.
Spacious sites, pretty beach, clean lake. We had a great stay here and would go back.
We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and it was our maiden voyage with our camper. Everything went very smoothly. The campsite was great. There were lots of walking trails, two playgrounds, and beach access. We did not use the restroom / bath facilities. There were lots of shady spots and lots of pull-thru spots. We will definitely be going back!
