An oasis in a dry landscape along Interstate. Located on the Snake river between ID and OR. Level site lots of trees, green grass. Beautiful sunsets.
We stopped in on a Monday, so it was very empty. We had a nice River view site. No cell service here. Also, no kids playground but that seems to be a trend here out West. The campground was well maintained.
We really enjoy Farewell Bend State Park, it's well maintained, nice boat ramp, very clean fish cleaning station, friendly camp host, and plenty of things for kids to do. Unfortunately this area can be HOT in the summer but oh well you are in south eastern Oregon. Closest store is in Huntington which is probably about 15 to 20 minutes away, and it's a small store so don't expect a Walmart.
Lots of spacious campsites and they have showers even this app doesn't show it. Electric sites have water too only $26. If you a DAV Oregon State Parks will allow you apply for a pass and stay for FREE.
Wow, what an introduction to Idaho. Absolutely beautiful! And, in the upper lot there were prairie dogs. Also had a dog park for my pup to run off leash. Historic Oregon trail site with some nice write-ups. Negatives: The shower was a sad trickle and there was no connectivity with Verizon and very weak connectivity with t-mobile. I would stay here again.
campground is spacious, quiet and clean. we stayed overnight. the kids enjoyed the basketball and the river. very good value for the money.
Great little park. Right next to the Snake River. Clean and well maintained. Water and Electric only but there is a dump site available. Conveniently located close to I-84 but surprisingly there was no traffic noise. Very quiet place. We were able to get cell phone reception but no TV due to all the trees. We stayed in a 34 motor coach and would definitely stay again.
