Reviews for Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center

| Over Priced

For $39 all you get is W &E. no wifi, no cable, dump station. Grass lots, needs mowing. GPS had on wrong side of road and we missed it causing a looong 5 mile drive around on a narrow road with lots of traffic (prob. Students).

| Price increase!

Price is now $35 . They said it was because they put in new 50 amp service that we don't use anyway. Still is convenient to Baton Rouge attractions but now at $35 is bit overpriced for field camping with limited amenities.

| Great Location

This place is located on a horse ranch! There are also 50amp hookups. Great location. Close to LSU and down town.

W/E only. Field parking. Bathroom facility had no soap or paper towels/hand dryer. Lots of grass and quiet. Overpriced at $39.00. NO DISCOUNTS- not even military. Probably will not stay again

| Park needs attention/maintenance.

By user-5011605... on 2017-10-23.

Stayed Jun 6-9, 2016 in 26' trailer. Pro: Park is close to Baton Rouge and LSU. Water and electric worked well. Con: Park needs maintenance, repair & AC added to showers. Grass was over a foot high. Dirt roads had huge holes holding water. Several rows of sites were not in use due to electrical issues. Restrooms/showers were not only dirty, needing light improvement, but like an oven...no ventilation nor AC. This coupled with no sewer made it difficult to stay here. This is a city of Baton Rouge park that certainly needs some improvements. I would look elsewhere next time.

Be careful using GPS. It took us down a seedy section of town and arrival was on the left not right.

| Reasonable stop over for dry camping

By user-5861683... on 2019-08-09.

Stopped here in our van and asked for a spot with no power. Dry camping is in a gravel lot that was dry (after recent rain some RV spots looked wet) Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot. There was some noise from boats on the river. Dry camping was only $11.
