Mature trees, small lots, plenty of friendly people (not scary), but outdated or just run down. I didn't like the dog walk area as it was a strip of grass between two roads.
Took the kids for one night and had a great time.
We rented one of their campers for the weekend. Everyone was really friendly- both the people that worked there and the people staying there. We enjoyed both the pool and the beach and our walks around the campgrounds. They supplied us with wood so we could have a campfire both night. Very nice weekend!
We are seasonal here for our 4th year. Family owned and operated for the 79th season. Yes, it is older but is well maintained. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and care about your stay. If you bring up an issue they will do their best to resolve it. It can get crowded on holidays. This place has been around for this long because people keep coming back generation after generation. Village sprays for mosquitoes but be prepared, they can be a pain. But that's part of camping!
I made reservation 8/16/18 for 3 nights that night my 88 yr old mom took a turn for the worst, called back on 8/17/18 cancelled they charged me the total $129 for my night because was less than 6 days, my wife & I have camped all over US, Canada, & Alaska never ever cancelled. I was upfront lady I thought might give a break. I've been trying to get Volo for years. I guess I'll find somewhere else to camp there
I left a bad review 8/19, we had pd deposit, when I called & cancelled 2 days before we were to get there we had illness in family. When I called they sent me a cancellation cry stating my total cost. They did refund all but $15, Have not made there, would like to camp there sometime, I apologize for jumping the gun.
