What a neat place. We really enjoy this place clean, helpful,quite and everything.
| Not bad at all
Park looks like they are building mire cabins, restrooms and showers are awesome park seems more like storage then park. Was great for one night half way to Yellowstone
| One night stay
We drove all day and then some and where happy just to get parked somewhere and rest. We were traveling from Mesa Verde to Yellowstone and called that morning to see if they had vacancies and were told "sure just come on, it'll be no problem." The area is beautiful and the gorge, dam, lake and river are stunning. It appears the park is "under construction" and from the best I can tell or understand is the park changed hands and they are building what appears to be cabins or small chalets primarily for the fishing opportunities here. So by the time we arrived, after 830 pm, got checked in (took sometime and a fisher dude just barged in and interrupted and was given priority , we were told to set up in site 12. I told them I needed a quick setup b/c I was super tired and needed "quick." The power was being scavenged by the construction so you couldn't even plug up if you wanted to do so and we never did find the sewage. So we called the office and he came down to "show us how to get hooked up" and then had a reality check. Duh. We aren't stupid. We were told to move to another site which we we did and started setting up there. There is no grass, only weeds, dirt and gravel. It's one night and we are tired so we called it a night and slept. Maybe one day they'll get around to actually making the RV spots nice but I'm not so sure they see there is any thing wrong with it. The place has potential just not as of today.
