The individual sites are huge with electric only ( T-loop). Had reserved for 7 day but left after 5 because we couldn't stand the mosquitos anymore. It was 86 degrees and 98% humidity so having to wear long pants, long sleeves and whatever was exposed needed repeatedly application of bug spray to keep the mosquitos at bay got old pretty fast. Otherwise a wonderful place with lots of birds, crocodiles and aligators, manatees and dolphins. Lots to experience.
The visitor center is at the location marked. The actual campground is 38 miles past the center Beautiful park and lots of wildlife. Limited electric hookups and only a sewer dump and water fill up. Water was under a boil first and high sodium warning. Come prepared with deet i.nsect repellent. The do sell it at the Marina but were out during our visit. We will return.
Still a wondefull place, Hurricane Irma breaks a lot of things there. Only on loop still open. We have see several manatees and American crocodiles in the marina. Perfect when you have time to visit Everglades.
