Were a family of fulltimers. We got there right before closing while it was raining, but we had reservations for 3 days. We stood outside while were drilled on how many children we had and if they were all ours by one of the female camp hosts during check in. It was stated because we could be trying to harbor nephews or nieces. Max amt of people per site is 5! It was pouring down rain and we had to pull in with no lights or visibility. There was a deep dip entering the site and very unlevel but examining the campground later all sites look unlevel. They are VERY wide which is nice but most have a dip which makes it hard to back in. The sites are gravel with a cement block at the back of the site to pull up to but if you're as long as our 30ft er you'll have trouble because they are too high. Your jacks won't clear it. There's also a drop off behind most sites that aren't in the center of the campground. They have a washer and dryer which was nice. The older male campground host talked with us during a drive through, and was extremely polite and kind. I saw very few children and it was full for a holiday. It seems to be attracting more of an older crowd even though its a county campground. Honestly, with the rules, it felt like prison. It was a beautiful place and well maintained but not for us.

We really enjoy our Memorial weekend outing here. The hosts were really nice and enjoyed visiting with them. Hope there back in 2015. The restrooms were very nicely kept. Were in a popup and the Mrs made a comment about how nicely kept the restrooms and showers were kept. Nice and quiet this is very close to 291/470 & 1-70. And 40 Highway. There is a convenience store very close if you need a few things or gas. Blue Springs Lake is close by but unless you want a long walk better off driving to it which in a car is about 5 mins away.

| Great campsite close to everything

Super quiet place with very nice sites. We only stayed for the night but I will definitely come back when we're in Kansas City. You'd rather not make the booking over the phone though. They placed us on one of the worst spots despite the fact that the whole campsite was almost empty. Attendants are really nice.

We live in the KC area and camp here 4-5 times a year when our daughter has soccer games nearby. The hosts are friendly, the place is clean and it has a nice playground. There are 83 sites with roughly 25 of them full hookup. We camp in a travel trailer.

| Beautiful COE Park

The park is nicely placed with easy access from the 470 on exit 14. The sites are well sized and mostly level with good placement of EWS. This park is a bit isolated with no access to the lake in the campground but that adds to the quiet setting. There is a beautiful playground for the children a short walk from the campground. The showers and restroom facilities were cinderblock construction making them an ideal storm shelter. There are no laundry or other facilities at the campground. We stayed in a 37 foot motorhome with a tow. We would stay here again.

| Its like living on top of a gravel pile!!

So disappointed in this park. In addition to the reviews several people told us how nice this park is supposed to be! It appears that the park tried to make improvement to the sites over the winter by putting more gravel on the gravel sites BUT it doesn't appear they finished the job -- just dumped tons of gravel! Sites are very, very unlevel! Dips and valleys in the gravel of over eight inches in the first site we tried! We are in the second site and more or less level but we had to park at the very front of the site at an odd angle to miss the trenches dug out of the back of the site where someone else must have gotten stuck. No where to sit outside where our chairs will not tip over in the loose gravel pile. Might be nice again by the end of the season after rigs pack down the gravel but at this point I'm just hopping I don't get stuck and can get off this gravel pile!
