Reviews for Fort Boonesborough State Park

Boonesborough has one of the best camp stores you will find, selection and prices are good. The sites are OK and the bath houses clean. The park policeman is a butt hole though, which is a shame.

| LOVE this Park !!

We've been here a few times. There is a lot to do here. They offer miniature golf, a swimming pool, walking trails and much more. This area has a rich history. The showers are awesome !! GREAT water pressure and plenty of hot water. The stall had plenty of room for me to get my scooter and shower bag in to. Plenty of hooks to hang towels, etc. We WILL be back.

Got in late for just an overnight stay. Ranger was cool. Price was good. Even delivered our firewood. Will be back. Would give 5 stars but the bathrooms are closed for construction. But they did tell us that on the phone

We stayed for two nights, campsites did't have pads which made the worn down grassy area slightly muddy. Some noise on the north side due to hwy above campground. Lots of families, very friendly, and well kept. Bathhouses were clean and functional. They have a great pool and the replica fort was a great and fun diversion. We would definitely stay again.

| Sneaky pricing. Nice campground

Pleasant, clean campground but their posted price doesn t reflect the added $6 fee for the first night s stay

| Bring a 60 ft hose

By user-6531390... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-09-08 to 2018-09-09

Just passing through and needed a place for two nights. They fit me in, but failed to tell me that the site they put me in, the water pipe was broke and I had to share with the camper next door. Problem was that I needed at 60 ft of hose. So I paid for water, but could not use it as I don t carry 60 ft of hose. They said it s been broken for years now. They either need to fix or at least warn people. My electrical box was wonky as well. For the price, they should fix the problems. They also don t tell you that the first night they charge an extra 6.00. My site was level however and everyone was friendly.

They were right, fortunately I had 2 hoses to reach my water 50' away. Took 2 boards to get close to level, RVing 101 though. Did not like paying $39/night with discount, during the week in Nov, after paying only $22 at more scenic Carter Caves SP 90 miles away. Old park, I won't stay here again.

| Terrible

Stayed here on an overnight during our trip from Mi to Fl , would not stay again. There is a hill next to the campground where the semis turn on there snubbers,to desend a steep hIll the noise is very loud throughout the night . In the morning after 9 am the cement plant across the road starts up and the wind blows the fumes from the large smoke stack directly through the campground !

Overall not bad some sites are unlevel but remember it in the foothills of the mountain of Kentucky electric was on the wrong side of the trailer so make sure you have enough cord.

| Very expensive but also very nice.
