Our site was great, about 100 yards from lake, no obstructions. Fresh winds were screaming off lake - loved it! Other sites had more protection. No shortage of TP in comfort station.
$18.00 "transaction fees" for a cancellation 2 weeks in advance. As though they won't be able to rent that space in the next 2 weeks around Labor Day. Thank you NYS.
Close enough to Niagra but quiet. Right on the lake. Clean bath house and showers. Second dump station at far side of park. Beauty
Big, beautiful sites! We were not by the lake, but that didn't matter! Loved it here and would be back every weekend if we didn't live 8 hrs away. We also visited Fort Niagara and Niagara Falls. FYI, you can't swim in the lake but there is a nice pool and water slide at Fort Niagara (5-10 minutes away). Admission is around $3!
This is a lovely park located about 15 miles from Niagara Falls. It's a pretty drive along the Niagara Gorge. We had a spot overlooking Lake Ontario, and it was beautiful and peaceful. There aren't too many restroom buildings so I ended up driving to the nearest one to take a shower. Otherwise it would have been a long walk in 90 degree heat. Showers were modern and clean. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to be away from the crowds near the falls.
Nice park. Try to a site get as close to Lake Ontario as you can. We took trips to Fort Niagara & Niagara Falls. Very friendly & helpful park personnel.
Very quiet and beautiful park. Looks over Lake Ontario. Bathrooms were clean and showers were also. Would stay here again.
Was never this far north/west in NY. Saw the previous review & decided to come here. The clouds parted a bit near sunset so got to see some of it.
Stayed two nights here while visiting Niagara Falls. Large sites even though it did fill up on the second night because of the Niagara air show and some dog show down the road.
Just checked in. Very nice with large spots but there is no fresh water hookup for campers so come prepared. These are electric hook ups only, and must use dump station. Grounds are nice and we'll maintained.
Schöner Platz, direkt am See. Man kann zum Nachbar State Park fort niagara fahren und da umsonst parken und mit dem kostenlosen Shuttle zu den Wasserfällen fahren.
We were here to pickup a boat in Tonawanda and visit Niagara Falls. We do not need electricity (solar) or sewer (used the dump station on the way out). Great views, well kept, clean. Great place.
