We spent the night here on our way to Florida and I'm so glad we did! The state park itself is just beautiful and the lake is known for it's great bass and crappie fishing. The campsite is superb! Ours backed up to the lake on a well maintained pad with a picnic table and fire ring. WIFI and cable and hiking trails. We will be back and we plan on staying longer! Full hook ups, both back in and pull through sites available. Very clean!

Glad we saw some comments on this park and planned a couple of nights there, wish we had planned more. Really a nice find for a state park with spacious, level sites, good power and water and thank you for a good wifi system that worked. Very peaceful, a small park but ample area to walk and just enjoy. Grounds were kept clean, didn't use the bath house. Adequate over the air TV signals, good Verizon reception. Will definitely plan this stop in for a longer stay next time. We had about a $32.00 rate as they were running a Sun-Thu special at most of the Alabama state parks.

This is one of the nicest places we've stayed ever. Gorgeous place with awesome lakeside sites. Very well maintained, neat and clean. If we'd have had time and not been needing to get home we would have stayed days more. On note of caution, prices have risen to $41.00/night.
