| Good Stopover

By user-6475238... on 2017-10-23.

This is a rural RV Park with all that comes with it. The roads and sites were dirt but reasonably level. About half the sites will get satellite. The staff was helpful. Our electric and water hookups were on the wrong side, which is why we have extension cords and extra hoses. Didn't use the shower or laundry. We stayed in a motorhome. Worked for us because it was hot and we wanted electricity to run our air. As a bonus we could see bison from our RV and the on site restaurant serves good steaks.

| Interesting night...

By user-5556201... on 2017-10-23.

We were greeted by a not too friendly host who was ready to go home for the night. As we're setting up, within 5 mins of being there, another guest approaches us as she sees we have 2 small kids. She wanted to let us know that a registered sex offender lived in the motor home next to us. This made me feel very uncomfortable. Got a weird vibe from all the people walking around that lived there. Bathrooms were a good thing to stay away from. And dumpsters were beyond overflowing. Views were pretty and full hookups were convenient. Kids also enjoyed the buffalo family right nearby.

| Here now for several days

Easy check in with Hostess at the office/restaurant...no problems. Office has plenty of supplies and souvenir stock, and the restaurant has great reviews...we will try it. Sites are close but easy hookups... fairly level gravel site with some trees. People seem friendly enough..wave as passing. Have Buffalo and horses beside campground. No tv/cable...but wifi is adequate. Lots of kids riding around on bikes....and plenty of families here. Seems as if it is mostly a long-term or at least full-season rental campground. My husband says bathrooms are adequate but a bit old. We have been out for a while and ready for a bit of civilization and this town has a Wal-Mart for stocking up, a movie house and lots of restaurants....oh yes, and a rare white Buffalo! Did not see any fire rings or grills other than those owned by campers. Lots of dog walking areas in nearby field. My only complaint is the huge mosquitoes.... so deet is a must. We are staying the weekend here in a 5er. you need cash or check only for check in ....no credit cards and no discounts... but our rate for FHU pull through was $27 a night....not high as someone stated before....and we are here on a weekend.
