Nice sites with room and privacy. Staffed by helpful friendly staff. Electric and water hook up, laundry and wifi at ourcampgroud, plenty of other camping at other campgrounds. The park is huge. Lake swimming, boating, hiking, even solar heated salt water pool. Local town, Alma, is a nice town with great food but pick up supplies before coming.
We stayed only 1 night because that's all they had. Pros: Easy access to see the bay. Easy walk to Alma restaurants. Beautiful grounds in this park. Cons: A bit pricey for a NP. Staff allowed a rude lady to check in early. She kept driving by and finally at 10AM came by to ask when we were leaving so she could get settled in our spot and start her day. This should not be allowed.
This area has several campgrounds. We stayed at The Headquarters the first few bites. While this is a nice clean facility they do NOT allow campfires or alcohol. A mile Southwest is Chignetto which does. The area has a lot of great things to do outdoors. Plus , about 45 minutes up the coast is Hopewell Rocks which is a must see. The tides in this area are truly spectacular.!
Spacious, full hook up site in a Canadian National Park, really reasonably priced. Walking distance to the visitor center and the waterfront. A great place from which to visit the park and other nearby sites. Strong wifi signal at our campsite but bandwidth was a challenge at high usage times including one bad weather afternoon when most folks were inside their units. Sites are level with a nice trees throughout the park. I drove several other campgrounds, all lovely most only W&E. Wolfe's Point Campground had sites that would have suited our 30' motor-home but navigating the covered bridge enroute would have been difficult. Campsite fees do not include park entrance fees of about $8 cdn per person per day which are charged upon entering the park prior to getting to the campground. For advance reservations, we needed to set up an online account with GCKey which is Canada's park reservation and payment system.
We are a 40' Motorhome with tow and had no problem finding a full service site. We did our reservations online. There is a golf course almost within walking distance and another campground directly adjoining the course. The golf course is 9 holes (Get a motorized cart) but the play was great, just make sure you bring bug spray. Campground is quiet and well maintained, easy access to the Bay of Fundy to view the extreme tides plus the information center is very helpful in offering guidance to other close by water falls, wooden bridges, etc
42 foot Coach just fit in pull through but a little disappointing to find 30 amp !! Only
