Too many bugs for us.....and having lived in Frederick for several years, I was disappointed that the campground was not up on the summit and in the fire trail area.
Gambrill is a small but lovely state park, very near Frederick, Maryland. There is a nice bath house. It sits on a mountain and has hiking trails to a look out and a pond.
Save your gas, place was locked up.
