I called up there to reserve a site and was told it was $22 a person plus the cost per night for our RV, $189 for three nights. I asked what the $22 per person involved and they stated 'just camping'. I stated that was odd because usually we just pay one flat fee. They stated, and I quote, "You can always go to another RV Park"
| Nice place, but skip breakfast
Overall, this place is nice. It primarily caters to those interested in canoeing or rafting on the river. They have several rental cabins and a few RV rentals. There were a multitude of full hook-up sites that we were surprised were mostly empty. We met one of the owners at the St. Louis RV Show in February and they gave us a rate of $25/site/night. I believe the normal rate was $30. We didn't go on any of their float trips but they offer several types/durations. Instead we picked up some tubes at Walmart in Cuba, Mo and just lounged on the river for a while. I only had two complaints: (1) the pool was closed for repairs and (2) breakfast. The food was obviously prepared long before it was served to us and not kept warm. Had it been a hot breakfast, I could have overlooked the pool thing and scored 5 stars. BTW, the pizza from the little trailer outside the office was very good and they deliver to your site when ready.
| Excellent Camping
I stayed here with my kids in July. Everyone was friendly we didn t canoe. We camped here the pool was wonderful and river also. One day we went to Rolla to Fugitive Beach and everything was perfect!
