Small CG with home touches. Large bath house with wash cloths provided. Curtains over each window. Nice people management.

Very nice park and people. However, if you do not have a VERY long sewer hose plan to use the dump station. There is a great bike path along the canal

Nice campground. Across the canal is a great city park with electric sites for $6 or 12 (tent or RV). Geneseo is nearby with shopping and an old-fashioned main street.

Geneseo Campground is very well kept, peaceful (surrounded by farmland), and a great place to stay. There are lots of fun things to do, including a kids' playground and a water spray park, and the store is very well stocked with helpful items that can save you a trip to town.

| Nice Campground......

Nice, peaceful campground. Be sure to get directions if coming from I-80 West to avoid low bridge......GPS has you turn left on North Street......you need to go down to Exchange Street before you turn. People very nice and $33 for FHU seemed fair. Would definitely stay here again if in the area......

Quiet peaceful place! Level shaded sites! Our only complaint would be they put us next to a seasonal camper who came in late, left his outside lights on all night and was up at 4 am making all kinds of noise! $30.00 full hookup

| Small charm

This vintage style gem is small. Which I love, but if you have a challenge in tight squeezes, go somewhere else. Which I will also note there is a 10 foot height restriction to get around in town before you get to campground. Once there you will find everything listed. They only allow ONE device for free on Wifi, otherwise there are extra fees. They are on the Historic Hennepin Canal which provides a great path for walking and biking. Bikes for rent. I felt a bit pricey. But very convenient. I will use this spot again!

1 night stop turn to two due to weather West bound. If traveling West Walmart at exit off I-80, then follow blue camping signs to campground. If East bound can exit off I-80 at exit 7 Cleveland / Wolf road for about 10 mi ride, nice country road without going through town. Friendly staff, propane available. Path to canal walk way. Old locks about mile from CG. Birds, wood duck nesting boxes. Play ground. Pics will be posted.

| Nice Park

Home town park. Away from interstate. Nice town to explore. Clean bath house.

| Good place for a short-term stay

We overnighted at Geneseo Campground in May 2018 in our 39’ fifth wheel. It was a nice site to spend a short stay. The pull-through site was somewhat short so we had to disconnect our tow vehicle and park it sideways behind our rig. The only real challenge was due to the electrical connection being in the very front of the site, which caused us to have to use every bit of our power cord to reach it. The Hennepin Canal runs along the campground and there is a nice walking trail along the canal. We saw many people fishing from the banks of the canal. Be sure to call to get directions to the campground. There is a bridge with only a 10’ clearance coming through town but the office staff can direct you around this. We would not hesitate to return to this campground if passing through the area.

| a gem in the fields of Illinois

Staying for a week at Geneseo Campground, in Geneseo, Illinois. ~70 sites, all but three are pulll- thrus. Great internet, water pressure and amps. New owners Bob and Sheila just took over from the previous owners , and have a lot of plans for improvements, of which few are needed. Get ready for a spontaneous concert with Bob and Sheila playing the banjo, guitar, and other string instruments. Bathrooms and showers are top notch with even hand towels provided. This campground is located adjacent to the Hennipin canal, which was a testbed for the Panama canal. A bike path along the canal goes for many miles of easy riding. Highly recommend this campground as a destination or stopover. "American pickers" headquarters are 16 miles down the road in LeClair, Iowa, just over the Mississippi river. Stayed in a 40' fifth wheel.

We were visiting Geneseo for a marching band competition and last escape for the year. Park is under new owners who are very nice and have lots of plans. Located right next to the Henepin canal there are miles of paved paths along the canal with an old lock walking distance in one direction and a park with dock and ramp access. I was told they allow 10 HP on the canal. Most of the sites have mature trees and are level. Be mindful of following the truck route, there is a 10 ft viaduct that rips off roofs, although there is a new sign up saying it is closing 8.24.18. Not sure for repairs, removal or permanently.

| Nice little campground

By user-5983119... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-10-08 to 2018-10-11

Stayed 3 days. New owners were very nice, and helpfull. Well pumphouse solenoid went out and they promptly got it fixed up and working. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the sewer inlet was a little high for the travel trailer to flow down easily. I would stay again, just at a different site with a low to the ground sewer inlet. Nice facility also.

| We agree, a great little campground!

Stayed 2 nights on our way west to SD. Bob and Sheila, new owners, were great, very helpful, and made us feel welcome! Charming little town 2 miles away. Bring your bikes and fishing rod, cg is right on the canal. We definitely will return, if we are in the area!
