Park is tucked back in a less than attractive area but ended up fine. Well maintained friendly operators. Will use again

We had our dog with us and really like the enclosed dog park area. Gravel sites that get pretty muddy with rain. The road and neighborhood leading to the main gate isn't the best but the gates are closed from 10 pm to 7am which gives you a more secure feeling. The water/electric spots were more "in the redwoods" than the pull through full hook up spots. Free wi-fi is limited but decent AT&T coverage.

| Great Park

This is a great park in the middle of the redwoods off the Avenue of Giants. Great, friendly staff. The spaces are mostly level. They have varying sizes to accommodate different rigs and tents. There is a small store with basic camping needs and an ice cream freezer. As others have stated the neighborhood on the road into the campground is sketchy, at best. They are working with the government to get it cleaned up. Once inside the camp I felt safe and secure. It's a close drive to many local activities and sits next to the Eel river. Beautiful area. I highly recommend it.

| Very nice among redwoods

Hot showers many generous sites. Little privacy and somewhat muddy but sites fairly level. 36.00 with Sams discount, good 4G with Verizon.

| Reasonable site next to swimming river

Reasonable site for one night, but the drive in is like a war zone and a bit off putting. Good clean showers, 30A drive thru pitches were on grass. River was fast flowing so be careful with kids

| Scary neighborhood

The road in almost scared us off, (trashy ghetto feeling) but it was late so we decided to try it. Gates that close for the night and tall fences made us feel better. We enjoyed the quiet and the river so much that we stayed a second night.

| Peaceful for a reason

Great place but but the as usual the wifi sucks and what's alarming is AT&T has no phone signal in this area

| Disorganized Office Staff

Be sure to call early in day on your day of arrival or your phone or internet confirmed reservation may not be available! There is very difficult dumping here, very restricted space. Wonderful location, though!

| Quaint park in the Redwoods

We stayed two nights and really enjoyed this park. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Facilities have been updated as well as laundry. Wifi and cable was good and worked flawless. Very peaceful and quiet. Definitely would go back. Very conveniently located in and near Redwood attractions. We enjoyed our time in this park.

| Scary area

The park was OK but located in an "iffy" area. However, it is surrounded by a huge fence for security sake. I think it is necessary. It a rustic park, and we are there as a stop-over on the way to Oregon. We took several days there to check out the Redwoods in the area and eat at the Benbow Inn, a half hour south.

| A hidden gem

This is one of those places I wish we could have stayed longer. Only an overnight visit but it was well worth it. Right in the middle of "Avenue of the Giants" in the Redwood Forest this is a great hidden park right on the Eel River. The park was clean, neat and very welcome. The bathrooms were spotless and overall a big surprise. We didn't notice a lot of full timers as others have wrote up. The lady at the office was VERY polite and was able to answer ALL of our questions and very curtious. The only downfall is the drive in off the 101 and down the side street isn't very pretty but the rest is. If you don't enjoy this park I would be surprised..

| Nice RV Park.....

We stayed here 3 years ago and this park is so much better now! We just spent a week here with family and will definitely be back. Don t let the run down half mile road in scare you. The campground is very nice, has paved roads and level gravel sites, good wi-fi, and the long term people are gone. The managers Robert and Vicki have clearly been working hard to make it nice. William, who seems to be in charge of maintenance, was very responsive and went out of his way to help us when we lost our keys and Carmen was very helpful in the office. They even let us set up a temporary pickleball court on the blacktop....so much fun! One caution......be sure to not leave anything in your car when hiking the trails on Avenue of the Giants.....we had 2 windows smashed and some things stolen.

| Nice park!

Don't let the drive in fool you. What a beautiful campground!! Quiet. Friendly staff. Wish we could have stayed longer

| Nice grounds, but river access was not that good.

By user-5860301... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-06-24 to 2019-06-25

Level sites and a good place for an overnight stay, but not really a destination park. River access was not good and they were having a toxic algae outbreak so no swimming allowed. No dump at our site but we used the dump station in the morning.

Very nice park, once you get in. The management and workers friendly and helpful, Many sites no sewer, but I knew that going in. I would return .
