Not an RV park
By user-5778808... on 2017-10-23.
This park is beautiful. Great desert views and clean, clean, clean. Gravel sites took a little leveling, but no biggie. All were back-in. No direct water hookup but plenty of spigots in each loop. 7 night limit. Near Sonora Desert Museum and Old Tuscon movie sets. We stayed here 2 nights in a TT.

We weren't quit sure what to expect but boy were we surprised! There are 130 spaces with beautiful views of the mountains and desert scenes. Every space has their own little privacy pocket. The main road is paved and the spaces are gravel it is kept up and very clean. We are in a 42 foot motor home and have electricity hookup only. There is a dump station and water station. There are bathrooms but no showers. You can't beat this for $20 a day!

In Summer Heat

I took my new camper in the middle of the Tucson Summer, June- for an over-night and initial trial. The campground was almost abandoned but beautiful, clean with great bathroom facilities. Spent some time during the day at the casino (a few miles away) to ward off heat, and the Saturday evening at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum's 'Cool Saturday Nite Lights' program. The AC worked beautifully and the early morning was spectacular both in temperature and the views. I'd definitely recommend this campground, especially during cooler periods.

Be aware that credit cards are not accepted. No reservations, so arrive early if in the peak season/ call them for guidance.

Great spot a few miles off Highway 10 in the Saguaro National Park. No reservations accepted but there are plenty of sites and we arrived at 4:30 PM mid week and drove right in. Completely quiet as generators are not allowed. Electrical at every site with central water and dump available. There are also plenty of hiking trails just outside the park. Would definitely stay again.

Sweet park when it s quiet. But the constant barrage of shooting makes sitting peacefully outside before they stop at 1PM impossible.

Nice campground, 30 amp electric, central water, dump station and clean restrooms. Quiet, in spite of previous review, but we stayed mid week. Close to Saguaro NP West and the Desert Museum.

The campground is right in the middle of the Sonora Desert. The whole site was clean and picturesque. At $20/day we gladly stayed two nights. The Gates Pass Trail will take you right to Old Tucson with less than a miles hike.

Beautiful park and area. Excellent friendly staff. Very spacious spots. About 6 miles off of I10. Our GPS directed us to "Gates Pass rd" which is very narrow and restricted to no trailers or motorhomes under 12000 lbs. There is another route which is fine but don't use Gates Pass rd.

Spacious sites. Nice area. Camp hosts are great! Use website directions if you have a large rig not GPS. We have a 31' Fifth wheel. GPS takes you to Gates Pass Rd which isnt made for larger rigs. Close to National Park, Desert Musuem and Old Tuscon - an old western town. Office has books and movies and puzzles you can borrow as well.

Great Campground, surrounded by Saguaro cacti. Quiet, peaceful surroundings with beautiful sunsets. All for $20 per night. All sites are first-come, first-serve. The Campground has been full every night, better get here by 11:00 a.m. to find a spot.

Wunderschöne Atmosphäre zwischen Saguaros
By user-6466526... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-04-29 to 2019-04-30
