Agree with staying in the lower campground. Water was suspect until I ran some out on the ground for a few minutes. Then it cleared up. You can pretty much park where you want to. It's close to some real good local eateries ranging from BBQ to Italian. The dump station was tricky getting into so I bypassed since I didn't need to empty the tanks.
I stayed at this park three time all three times I called ahead and was informed that the park had plenty of spaces. Each time I arrive I discovered they were hosting an event and had no spaces.
Beautiful view of mountains from the registration house which is near a grassy flat close to the river. You can camp on the grassy flat or up on the hill within walking distance of the pool. I chose to be on the hill to have trees and regretted it. Crowded close to permanent tenants. I had to jack my Bal leveler to its full extent, the site was so tilted. The water had a lot of sediment even though I ran it for a while. The bathroom looked like it had not had an upgrade in many decades – the floor was very rough concrete with the 3 inch drain hole in the floor missing a covering. There was only one mirror and the water was luke warm. Noisy at night. Sprint coverage weak. AT&T slow.
