| Fred Hall Show Trip

By user-5805672... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-03-05 to 2017-03-06

We stayed overnight here to go to the Fred Hall Fishing and Outdoor Show at the Long Beach Convention Center. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The little store was well stocked and had fair prices. The bathrooms and showers looked very newly renovated, they were very clean, spacious and nice. We didn't use the pool or spa but they looked very nice. The park was well manicured, level sites, good WiFi service, and easy to maneuver. There was very little noise despite being located near the port, roads, and freeways. We stayed in a pop-up truck camper and with canvas walls for the pop-up parks located in urban areas near roads/freeways tend to be loud. We had no trouble sleeping and there was minimal noise, even with it being on a weekend with a major show at the convention center. There were plenty of things to do, and restaurants to eat/drink at near by within walking distance or a short Uber/Taxi ride away. Great place to stay for a stop-over. I will definitely go back each time we go to the Fred Hall show and I would be happy to stay hear for a fun trip to visit the Long Beach area.

| Good start or end point for your trip

By user-5811842... on 2017-10-23.

Very good place to start or end your trip here (Cruise America is only 10 Min away). We paid 68 $ (sunday rate). Pool and jacuzzi are very clean. Laundry room is ok.

| Poor Wi-Fi

By user-5934643... on 2017-10-23.

Great park in tbe general ways, especially location if that's what you're after. Highway noise minimal for city. The huge seaport to the distant southwest does drift in odors of petroleum over the park when there is a southwest wind flow. Wi-Fi has good connectivity throughout the park but the Internet connection is too slow for any data exchange beyond normal browsing or email. Terrible time watching Netflix and uploading FB pictures. Plus you have to pay for that poor data connection.

| Good park

Staff not really friendly, Pool, jacuzzi, very clean bathrooms

| Poorly run

By user-5809093... on 2017-10-23.

When you try to make a reservation on the website they take your info and will call you later, except they don't call, we have plans to attend the lobster festival and called numerous times always getting a voicemail with no return call, I found that to be ridiculously unprofessional, if you don't have available spaces say so but let us know, needless to say we booked elsewhere, we are both nurses with a nice brand new vehicle so it isn't a snobby response just no professionalism or courtesy so we didn't waste time waiting for a nonexistent response

| Nice spot..

No complaints here. Back in site accommodated our 40' w/ tow dolly and room for the car in front. Right next to the harbor and near the Queen Mary.

| If you're going to see LA this is the place to stay!

By user-6304787... on 2017-10-23.

Very well kept park. A few "high end" monthly RV's. This park is only 0.8 of a mile (about a 20 minute walk) from the Metro Blue Line that will take you to downtown L.A., from there you can transfer on to different lines or bus routes to go almost anywhere in the metropolitan LA area. This park is only a half mile (about a 10 minute walk) from the Pike, which has plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping. There is also a nice walking and bike path right outside of the park, these can take you to a shuttle terminal to Catalina Island or a nice walk past the Queen Mary.

| Awesome place

By user-4881191... on 2017-10-23.

I have been here for the last month. This park has a nice friendly staff which keeps the grounds well maintained. They have a heated pool with jacuzzi. There is an outdoor restroom and showers which are well maintained. The park is quiet with an overnight attendant. This location is located in Long Beach bay, across from the Queen Mary. There are nice walks from the park to the beach and Shoreline Village. I encourage any to stay here. This is a great location for a short vacation

| Potential, but poor customer service

By user-5908279... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2016-05-30 to 2016-06-01

Location, 5 stars. Lots to do with walking distance and has a tax payer provided shuttle (no folks, it's not free...) Amenities, 3 stars. Has most everything, but showing age. Pet friendly, 2 stars. Lots of pets with responsible owners, but the dog run is pathetic; a dirt lot for pets to do their business. Safety, 2 stars. The resort is fine with decent fencing, but huge transient population outside of resort. Did not feel safe outside of resort after dark. Customer Service, 0 stars. You are treated like a passing visitor rather than a paying guest. This was across multiple employees. A shame as this is so easy to change with the right leadership. Patrons, 4 stars. Nice guests and family orientation. Value, 3 stars. Overcrowded and pricey, especially with the poor service.

| Close to attractions

It’s a nice quiet place. Nice pool and spa, bathroom and showers were great, laundry room, kitchen area if needed. Dog friendly, I love that we brought our two dogs and kids. We all enjoyed it. I highly recommend it I will be going back for sure. Love how close it is to the beach, attractions and great food places!

入るにはゲートがあるので、遅く到着する場合は予約しておく方がいいです。清掃が行き届いていて、とても快適に過ごせました。シャワールームも広いです。スタッフも親切でした。居心地が良く2泊しました。

| Nice park

Stayed for 2 nights to visit family and the California Science Center. Very clean and well maintained. Most sites are on dirt with concrete dividers and planters between sites. Will come back again.

| Nice place

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

Stayed 2 nights. Quite clean. Free showers. Nice spa and pool. A bit far from downtown LA but otherwise can't complain. Some might find the close highway a bit noisy but I find it mostly just a humming sound in the background.

| Nice Place

By user-4936806... on 2019-08-09.

Quiet location in view of LA River & Port of Long Beach. Park is Secured with gate 24 hrs. No WiFi. Hookups showing their age but functional. Sites are close clean sand that gets muddy when it rains. Overall the park is nice. Heated pool and hot tub, very clean. Bathrooms clean as is a well maintained laundry. $340 per week. Bus route outside gate, Metro stop 1 mile away in downtown Long Beach. Lots of nice places to walk nearby. 40 min drive to LA. We would come back.

| Very nice small RV Park

By user-5317137... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-01-26 to 2019-02-02

All staff we encountered were very friendly. Our site was perfect for our 45 foot rig. There is wifi and it works great! Park has one loop and a few spots are taken up by long term residents. However there were also a number of empty spots too during our off season stay. We stayed a week for about $375. Because of the size of the park and the size of my rig, I made my reservation about 6 months in advance. Based on comments here, I was worried that my reservation would be lost in the system. I never confirmed my reservation and they were expecting me when I arrived. It went very smooth. The only clunky part, is making that initial reservation where you fill out the form and have to wait for a call back. We didn't use any of the amenities because we were too busy having fun around town but everything looked very clean.

| Perfect location, decent park

By user-5214018... on 2019-08-09.

Can t beat the location. Spots are ample and nice landscaping. Expensive but understandably so. Didn t care for the sand pads - it got everywhere. We will definitely be back!

| Safe, but right along mayor road

By user-6112391... on 2019-08-09.

Glad I only booked 1 night, because this is way too noisy and smelly (exhaust fumes) for me next to a major road. Sites are spacious with full hookups, clean bathroom, small pool (not very inviting to do laps) and it seems well organised (but not warm). Nearby golden shore ecological reserve looks sad with birds walking around in trash. The same feeling as LA longbeach: exploited.

| Cheap place to stay and discover LA

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

Cheaper and more comfortable than a campground in SF. We rent a car and discover LA. Rent a car is only 15 Minutes away to walk.

| Requires minimum of 2 night stay.

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

2 nights $$ justify less convinient option including cheap hotel for one night.

| Outrageous $150 change fee to add one night

By user-6467850... on 2019-08-09.

Stay away from this park at all costs! I made reservations for October of 2019 through February 2020 over a year ago so we'd have a place to stay in California after traveling around the country for a year and a half. Long Beach has been our home since the late 80's so we thought this park would be a great place to let us get resettled in the area. We'd paid a $340.00 deposit when I called today to add one day upfront of our 5 month booking and was told I'd need to pay a change fee of $150.00 in addition to adding the nights fee. When I complained that I thought that was unreasonable and still agreed to pay it, but I would hold their feet to the fire when in came to promised services and ammenities. At that point the you man stated that I didn't need to stay there if I didn't like their policy. I then got a call from the owner, a woman with a heavy asian accent, who informed me I had "scared" her employee and made him feel so threatened he had to go home early. She started screaming at me that this was her policy and she was now planning to return our deposit and would not allow an "angry old white man" to stay in her park. She then informed me she was recording our call which I told her was illegal in California. Never mind their bizarre stance on my complaint about the policy, recording a phone call in California requires two party consent, which I had not given. Once she realized her error, she then turned around and said she hadn't really recorded it. This park is discriminating against us for speaking my mind and being an "old white man". This is just so wrong, please don't give this park business, until they change their outrageous policies and correct their discriminatory practices. We camped at Golden Shore RV Resort in a Motorhome.
