Reviews for Goose Meadows

| Great little no frills campground.

Pros: - $22 per night - Great campsites that are mostly surrounded by trees. - Sites are relatively level. - Most sites are very large and roomy. - Sites each have a bear box, picnic table, fire pit, and BBQ. - You can walk down a small hill and be at the river. - Forrest Service staff and camp host were very friendly and helpful. Cons: - Pit toilets with no sink to wash hands. - There is only one bathroom per loop. Each bathroom only has one toilet for men and one for the women. - Every once in a while the smell from the pit toilets would come wafting through camp. - No showers at all. - It's right off highway 89 so you can hear the traffic all day and night. - No hookups for RV's. - One water spigot for the entire campground. The southern loop has the spigot near the camp host, the northern loop has no water at all. - Some sites are extremely close together (see the picture I submitted). We were in 15 and my parents were in 16 and I could stand between our trailers, put my arms out, and have one hand on each trailer. I'm only 5'6 and our trailer is a little 15' Jayco. The spaces were not big enough to park the vehicle that towed my parents trailer. Extra parking is outside the front gate so that was a little ridiculous to us. So, after walking both loops, just be aware that 15 & 16 share a pad, 2 & 4 share a pad, and 20 & 21 share one long pull-thru driveway. - Super dusty, and the dust flies because it's super fine (but hey, you're camping). Personally, we knew a lot of the cons before we came just by reading about the place online so none of them were a big deal to us but we see how others may be bothered. The only thing that annoyed us was the closeness of our spaces. If we hadn't known our neighbors, I would have been extremely disappointed. Now we know the spots not to reserve so we will definitely be back. We really enjoyed our stay.
