So far I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt and give three stars as this is our first night here, however we reserved full hookup site which was not available and the sites are very small and right on top of other sites. No room t to even put down the awning mat. Site is not at all level. The picture of the lake is very deceiving as this lake looks like something out of the show swamp people. I brought my kayaks but doubt I will even get them off the truck. Good luck turning around if you need to. When we realized our sure was taken e had to pull out the back side of the park and drive down the road to find a place large enough to safely turn around. My wife and I stay at georgia parks all the time and this is the first time I have had anything negative to say about any of them.
Nice little park. Very clean bathhouse! Nice lake that had rentaL paddle boats and kayaks. Sites were very small and not private. But quite! Think many of the sites would be really tight parking if you had a big rig. Only a few full hookup sites. Sites were level. Nice weekend trip. My only complaint is the ants! I get it s camping but the ant mounds all over the site and parking pad was ridiculous! crawling all over our shoes if you stood in one place too long. Dogs couldn t stay outside due to the ants.
Real nice State Park have a Golf Course ,swimming pool, Lake with paddle boats. & canoes
The park is renovating and upgrading their sites so only about a third of the sites were open during our visit and there were inconveniences due to the construction. But we enjoyed the spark so much that we extended our stay. We will be back again looking forward to seeing the improvements
