Reviews for Graham Cave State Park

| Pretty park, close to highway

This is a pretty campgrounds with friendly host couple and park staff. As others have mentioned the sites are close together and not all are level. Still we enjoyed this campground enough to stay an extra night. The park must be a "Missouri hidden treasure" because as close as it is to the highway you'd expect more RVs here. They mentioned they were busy Labor Day Weekend, and this coming weekend they are hosting an Archeologist weekend (9/8-9/10), with programs throughout the day, if anyone in the area. But for now, we are camping here by ourselves. Very peaceful. There is a (small) cave that you can walk to, easy paved walk (wheelchair accessible), pleasant path through woods, with the bonus of getting up close to an small but interesting cave. From here we took a daytrip to The Arch and the Budweiser Factory Tour in St Louis (about 80 minutes away). We'd stay here again. FYI: site 48 is a nice level site that can take a unit up to maybe 36'. (we're in a 32' 5W)

Nice park with clean facilities. 30 minutes to the town of Hermann and the Octoberfest. Cave is worth a look. Top loop has electrical. Plenty of room for larger rigs.

Very quiet and remote feeling even though you're right off the interstate. I couldn't hear the interstate at all because of all the trees. Has a few interesting sites to see. Only cons are the park has several steep hills and relatively short RV pads so this isn't a park for large rigs.

| Great value

Graham Cave SP was a great value right of I-70. Being the value minded camper, while traveling , this is quite the convenient stop. Good showers and restrooms, plenty of non electric and electric sites. Definitely will keep this I mind when passing thru. The hosts said it's never crowded. A little noise from the highway. Quick morning walk to the cave and falls on the way out started a day of driving off on a fantastic note!

| Lovely state park

What a charming find right of interstate but set back in the woods so it feels like you are in the wilderness. Beautifully shaded parking for the RV, friendly host and hostess, and very clean restrooms and showers. We really enjoyed the hike to the cave which followed a stream and small waterfall. Wonderful place to stop after a day of travel. We will definitely go back!

Great park just off I-70. Not many folks here for the weekend in early August. However weekend was in the 90s. Most of the electric sites are not very level or very long. Not a lot of space between the camp sites, however with no one here, not any problems. I little hwy noise when out side. Clean bathrooms and showers! The staff did a Missouri bear presentation and there only 2 sites in use. Very friendly and helpful staff! I would come back here again.

| A nice campground next to the interstate

By user-5274543... on 2017-10-23.

A few confirmations from other reviews: * sites are close together. * the campground is closely located to the interstate, a few miles along the Frontage Road. * you can hear in the distance the highway traffic, but it is not intrusive. * No water at campsites. Some have electric. My observations that have not been noted before: * the sites in general are not level, not even close. I had to attempt leveling at four sites until I found one close enough I could get the red close to level. * the roads are all paved and the sites do have asphalt. *Tight corners for longer rigs to park so be prepared for close-quarter maneuvering I like locations like this. The negative for me in this stop was the non-level camping pads. The bathroom facilities were closed during my visit, season, so don't know how nice they are inside. The external of the building looks nice. There are pit toilets for use when staying off season. Will likely stay here in the future as I like the right, 12 bucks off season, and I like to support these underfunded state parks. Wonder how busy this park ever is? Noted it isn't busy and other posts. Only concern I could see for someone is being able to level their rig and if a long camper being able to maneuver into parking spot.

| Currently not accessible if east bound

Some sites were not very level, however we found a spot that was very level. Was clean quiet no traffic noise from freeway at all.

Looked at this park for future stays. It was very clean and pretty. Most sites suitable for smaller rvs. Under 29 . Some sites might have issues with slides. We have 39 class C so not certain if we could fit.

| Nice forest, but...

No, there are no level electric sites. No, there are no water hookups. No, it's not really a "cave" - just an undercut ledge with a chain link fence across the front. Yes, the noise from the interstate is continuous.

If your looking for a base park this is great. I ended up with 3 blocks on one side to level on an electric site. Electric only but has potable water and dump station.
