This place is by far the WORST campground I have ever stayed at!! Not only is the campground dirty and under kept, the staff is so rude and unfriendly. Not helpful at all!!! We had no choice but to tent camp, everything else was sold out and we wanted a nice hot shower. The tent spots were far from bathrooms and next to a "private road", which was so noisy with vehicles driving by all night. Once we got to our site, the ground was full of weeds and rocks. It was so disappointing, not to mention that you can tent camp for free everywhere else. To make it better, the so expected showers never happened. The bathrooms were so dirty, full of mud and there's an $2.00 fee for 8 minutes of a shower!!! This was never mentioned upon checking in. What an embarrassment to those traveling to visit this beautiful country. Never again will I stay here!! If you want to tent camp. Just go stay somewhere else for free and use the camping service showers. Avoid the rudeness and the noise.
Kurz, teuer, dreckig, unfreundlich, Duschen kosten 2$ extra, kein W-Lan, die Toiletten dreckig und die Waschräume ebensoo und sehr alt. Dieser Platz ist nicht zu empfehlen.
Gravel, gravel everywhere. Not much grass. Sites are very narrow. Showers cost extra. "Free" WiFi is via Sat and included in cost. Showers cost extra.
If you can't get into Trailer Village in the park, this a viable option for a big rig. Sites are narrow but manageable. Our goal was to see the truly GRAND Canyon. Quick access to the main park entrance is a plus. Went at the end of the season; also recommended. Didn't use any of the facilities but was glad to see recycling!
Showers and dumping are not included. But they took us in last minute
Way too expensive. And then you have to pay extra for a shower, extra to use sewage dump, extra to fill up with water. Unfriendly front desk help- brusque and impatient. The wifi did not work for 2 days and they would not reduce the price. Narrow sites. Rest rooms unclean. GO to another campground. Only plus is nearness to Grand Canyon.
The office woman is very unfriendly and the toiletts are ugly. You have to pay for the shower. And for that it is to expensive here. If you need a campground, its ok. But if you can avoid it, go on another campground.
For $46 we've got very uneven space, quite scary looking park. Looks like we park on the field. On the plus side, we've got a spot, water and electricity. No sewage. Showers are $2/8 min Shuttle to Grand Canyon $30/8 ppl
The campsite itself is quite okay. Prices are minimally 46$ for an RV. WiFi reception is low and one of the WiFi spots is not working. Unfriendly woman at the desk.
Nice park with nice people, great restaurants and general store next door. Yes it was expensive but you are in a national park! Everything costs double in a state park, especially the Grand Canyon. We loved our stay. They took us in last minute without a reservation. Great place. $2 shower fee, free wifi, not very strong signal. Lots of bunnies hopping around and gopher holes galore.
Unfriendly staff at the desk. Lots of noise after quiet time. Gravel everywhere and wifi spot did not work. The spot was so tight could barley slide out. People next to me took the picknick table becouse it was not clear what side to drive in the pull trough. Horrible camping way to expensive (and in reaction to the previous it's outside the natonal park!)
Price too high for what you get. Bathrooms don't look too good. Shower costs extra!!
Absolutely not worth the money! We paid $51, but is was an ugly spot, not flat. Quiet time from 10 pm, but al lot of noise and nobody checking it! Restrooms looked clean but old. You already pay so much and still have to pay $2 for a shower, ridiculous! It was our most ugly and expensive campsitetill at the same time, till now on. We don't recommend ti to anyone.
Sites very close together. No fire ring. Very expensive. Locals walking under the fence and using showers and restrooms. Office staff a little rude and not very welcoming. Paid $51 a Night. Close to park entrance.
Not a beautiful place! Narrow sites, restrooms horrible, showers cost extra (8 min 2$), wifi doesn't work. Actually a cheek...
Not a bad campground! Full hookup, stone areas to park on, no shade! $51.00 a night a little expensive but given it's location to the Grand Canyon .....
Conveniently located to walk the entire town - even to the airport. Not as expensive as in the summer. Very few trees, but spaces level enough. Very close together. Did not use the facilities. Electric & sewer only, water fill up at dump station. Stayed the 12th in the Canyon park RV site - beautiful, wintertime shuttle service was great!
They start taking new guests at noon and you can not make a reservation on the day of your arrival. 1st come, 1st served. Asked for full hook ups on a Monday at 2 pm, and ended up with water and electric. No dump. TV stations are about 54 miles away, so no TV or cable. Wifi is weak. Starbucks next door is much better. To dump costs $3 for guests. To take a shower is $2 in quarters. The lot was about level on gravel. Different size lots available for rent to class A RV. What I liked about the place is how near the town is. Buss shuttle to the park run about every 20 minutes. When you get your pass, it is free. Have a senior pass, so it is free for me. Several restaurants near by. If you can not stay at Grand Canyon village, stay at this place and bring your pocket book!
It's expensive but easy to get to the Grand Canyon. The showers and toilets can use an extra clean. And you have to pay the showers separate. 2 dollar for 8 minutes. Staff is friendly and helped us nicely.
Two miles to the park entrance and walking distance to shuttle stops and restaurants. Thirty amp sites share a post and can be tight. We got lucky with site 125 which was roomy and close to the restrooms. A lot of campers with rented rv's.
This RV park is over priced , poorly looked after, washrooms and showers look like we re built in the 40 s. For the price charged internet should be available all over the area a 5g. Pay to shower, pay to dump, pay pay. This park is one step up from a cow pasture.
Just five miles out of one of the most heavily trafficked tourist areas in the country, we found it to be just fine and "reasonable" at $55.00 per night for full hookups. Used shower in our rv rather than pay for showering in the bath house. And just a few miles up the road, the Grand Canyon and an opportunity to be one of about 15,000 people a day who visit. Big surprise, it is that spectacular.
Not really that expensive in the greater scheme of things given that it's right next to a major tourist destination. We came for the Grand Canyon, not the campground. Washrooms were clean, staff were pleasant, easy walk to restaurants etc.
Perhaps by not having a lot of competition bring a certain loosening. The reception is far better then the site. The site are narrow and are not properly set up in regards of plumbing. In my case the waste plumbing/ water /electricity were on the front of the site. Go figure???
This park is about convenient access to the Grand Canyon. You must buy a token for $2 to take an 8 minute shower. The showers definitely need a remodel. We were able to do laundry $3.50 to wash $2.00 to dry. It is a place to park your RV and go see the Grand Canyon not a place to stay and hang out and camp. We work from our RV and we were able to get wifi connectivity through our Verizon hot spot very early in the morning it was much more congested in the evenings. Staff was pleasant.
Everyone s idea of what a campground should be is different. Wants and needs. There are much nicer looking campgrounds but for us this was a great location. Right outside the GC park, could walk to shuttles. Our time was spent in the national park. The grounds could use some maintenance, we are in a 5th wheel and didn t use the bathrooms but they are old. Staff worked with us to get additional days. If visiting the GC would stay here again rather than driving 60 miles to and from nearest town.
Over priced. Rough roads. Unlevel sites. Only thing is a place to park to see Grand Canyon. Elk wander thru sites. But I would stay again to see the canyon.
Sind zwei Nächte hier.Ganz in Ordnung und gleich beim Städtchen gelegen.Wifi etwas langsam aber reicht.Preis 65 $Nacht ok
Pretty old and run down. Reasonably priced based on how close it is to the Grand Canyon south rim. 5 minute walk and you can ride a free shuttle into the park (you still need to buy a park pass), but the bus is free. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Don t expect anything from the RV park, but everything else is near by. We reserved two nights but decided only to stay one night, no problem, no penalty ( try that at a KOA).
Close to the grand canyon good place to rest
