The park is the best we have found in Newfoundland and the Atlantic Provinces! Alice is very personable and extremely helpful. There is a craft consignment shop in the campground, the prices are very reasonable and the products are all Newfie made! The only reason I didn't make this made this 5 star is they are only 30 amp, but believe me, you do not need 50 here. The Codroy valley is gorgeous, be sure to see it, spend a few nights, don't just stop getting on or off the ferry!

| Nicest RV Park in Newfoundland

Grand Codroy RV-tent Camping Park is located a short distance off the Trans-Canada Highway as it passes through Doyles, NL in the Codroy Valley. Located a short 30 minutes drive north of the Port Aux Basques ferry terminal, it is ideally located for those getting off or about to get on the boat to/from Nova Scotia. The Grand Codroy is easily the nicest RV park we stayed in during our month-long tour across and around Newfoundland. Its spacious sites are spread around nicely landscaped grounds and both the campsite and facilities are spotlessly clean. Its sites are back-in but they utilized the looped drive we were on to enable us to back almost straight in with lots of clearance for our 43 ft Class A. The site was long enough that we had plenty of room to park our tow car in front. The sites were spread out with trees and lush green grass all around. Of all the RV parks we stayed at in Newfoundland, this is the only one I have given a 5 out of 5 rating. the only negative is they are 30 amp only, which could be more significant in hot weather. Our nightly rate was $34

This campground is gorgeous and well equipped. The grounds are beautiful and the camp owners are so kind and helpful. They showed us the Codroy Valley Loop and we were so glad I did! The area is beautiful and there are lots of sights and hikes. Budget a half day to drive the loop, a bit longer if you want to stop and hike or take pictures. Free wifi but sadly no cellular network at this campground.

We stayed 3 nights after arriving on the ferry. Full hook ups at most sites. Sites are spacious, owners very friendly and full of information. Free firewood, fresh baked bread, treats and muffins for sale at office. Craft shop has a large selection of beautiful handmade items at very reasonable prices. Codroy Valley was fun to explore with beautiful views. We will return as we leave the island.
