Suzanne who runs the park is awesome! They offer home cooked meals delivered to your site nightly. Sites are big and level and park is well maintained. They even give you cookies when you check into your site. Close to I-40 so perfect when traveling. Will definitely stay here again.....

Located a few hundred feet off the freeway kept the freeway noise away. Very friendly staff. Easy to get to spaces. Level, gravel with some trees between. Cereal, donuts and coffee for breakfast. Overall nice for overnight. We would stay again.

Decent overnighter
By user-5278725... on 2017-10-23.
Good: Flat gravel spots, quiet, easy access. Bad: Sites are very tight together -- your picnic table is the neighbor's sewer. GREAT: Suzanne's nightly menu -- home cooked meals delivered to your site!

Friendly efficient check in. Double checked my rigs size and assigned great spot.
Got 2 homemade delicious cookies at check. Cookies convinced us to order homemade turkey dinner. Guide to site Retired military vet explained some of the areas history. Wished I had time for longer stop. Far enough off of I-40. Would stay again.

Registration was a Hoot. Lady was wonderful and we got our Chocolate Chip Cookies and ordered our evening Dinner delivered to our RV from their Kitchen. Wow ! Was it good and Pie with Ice Cream. Not a fancy place but would highly recommend it.

Grants KOA

Grants KOA
The KOA statement There is camping and then there is KOA well there are KOAs then there is Grants KOA.
On check-in fresh baked Welcome cookies were handed out. In addition to the standard KOA member discount we also had a $7 small rig discount! The RV park regs are humorous. They also have a kitchen that delivers the fresh prepared evening meal to one s rig at an appointed time. Wife had the turkey dinner and fresh peach pie (one of 3 choices!) with ice cream. I opted for the smoked meat BBQ and veggies. WOW.
Rate for 1 night after the discounts was $37.71.
Sites are open and wide, water has heaters to keep the water flowing during freezing weather. Shower and bathroom facilities are very clean as is the entire park.
The stop here was planned for a one night stop as a travel maintenance day. Sooo much to do in the area we did not get to the laundry or TV check. We spent the afternoon going to El Malpaiso National Monument.
We are returning here for 3-4 nights after our next stop in Santa Fe.

Super friendly staff. Kids loved the cookies. Apple pie was delicious. Looking forward to continental breakfast. Clean laundry area. Very level spots. Basically just a large parking lot with hook-ups, but a great stop over.

Friendly staff with great accommodations
By user-6535863... on 2019-08-09.
This KOA was pricy but well worth it. Cookies, fresh homemade meals and a free continental breakfast. Laundry room and bath house were clean. Take time to walk the trails around the park and learn about local geology.

Awesome place to stay! Staff was kind and knowledgeable about the history of the area. Restrooms were clean and all sites were pull through! Meals available sounded wonderful although we did not get to try any. Small walking path through lava area was fun and my daughter enjoyed the break from our long trip. Will definitely come back if we are ever through New Mexico again.

Stay here if you can. Unique. The friendliest staff one can imagine. Had turkey dinner and peach pie hand delivered to our motorhome by park staff...that is different and the meal was good! At about 9pm, tried to get online and the two codes they had given us at check-in did not work. Called the park office and another really nice and helpful staff member came to our site with new codes and explained they go out of their way to secure each park RV guest s internet privacy.
Free Continental breakfast in the morning.
This is a modest sized park so I recommend phoning ahead of arrival. Most sites seem to be pull-thru and long enough for a tow vehicle. The entire park is flat do leveling is no problem. Easy in and out access. Just off I 40 and far enough that I heard no road noise
