Arrived 4:30pm 9/30/15 no attendant, no self check in, no one answered the phone the previous 2 hours. Could not register for a site online for that day although many were open. Park looks nice.

| Nice area. Lots of parks.

"No attendant" is correct: attendants' attendance is limited, which is typical in state/federal parks. They expect you to drive the sites, noting reservations, select one and park on it...then, either find the attendant, or camp host (who may not even be in your campground) to register. And there is an after hours registration box. Most sites are electric only, and a fire ring. All are paved. Most FHU sites are either on a single loop, or near loop entrances. Nice lake, very scenic sites, mostly level, excellent bathhouse, dump and dumpster facilities. Superb amphitheater (no showings during our stay) and boat launch. Was told they fill up quickly and often in summer, but there are hundreds of sites at other parks within a 20 minute drive. This park is the closest to the interstate, but highway noise was not a factor. Lots of deer, birds, waterfowl, and even a skunk noted in the area. Fishing is apparently good, based on the number of boats on the water and in the campgrounds. 2012 Airstream FC 23FB.

| Beautiful, Clean, and Cheap

Great park conveniently located right off of 57, but just far enough for no road noise. The sunset on Rend Lake was breathtaking. Clean showers and heated bathrooms, nice paved sites, spacious sites, some more private that others, and many butt up to the lake. If you're in the area it's worth staying here.

Close to 57, but no noise. Large, paved sites. Beautiful view of Rend Lake from some sites. With senior pass it was $8.

| Bring extra leveling blocks.

May require 4-8" of leveling for a Motorhome in sites that are near the water. (Shouldn't be an issue for TTs and FWs)

Very nice park with good roads and attendant. Shaded and site was fairly level. Older so shows some wear and tear.

This COE campground was very well maintained. The bathhouse was very clean and good water pressure. Our site had electricity only however, there are some sites with FHU. It is hard to get those sites on the weekends. It was close to the lodge and golf course. This was an excellent choice for our family reunion.
