Reviews for Hagan Stone City Park

| We had a fun time!

We stayed one night at the park and had a great time. They have shade spots and open field spots. We have an A-Frame pop up and had plenty of room to spread out. They can accommodate any size RV and was well worth the $20.00 a night price tag. They just opened up a large swimming pool with a water slide just a short drive from the campground. If your a hiker they have trails all around the park. All throughout the park they have picnic day areas that don't interfere with the camping experience. One negative they we thought was the dirt road was a little dusty. All in all a great experience.

| Awesome spot!

We went for 2 days but stayed over 2 weeks. There is plenty to do. Onsite are trails (one leads to the old school room), lakes and fishing spots, beautiful scenery (saw someone doing a photo shoot even), the new pool is open, the firepits are great, there is ample sites to acommodate your preference and size. In th vicinity you can hit a metropolis for shopping and eating, or venture into the small yet quaint towns for touring. Richard Petty and family are very close, as is Victory Junction. The staff members at the campground are wonderful. Negatives: ground flies, no dividers between neighbors and the sites are close together. Some of the tent campers nearby can get a little brave on weekends...we watched our exterior a lot. But this is definitely a place we will return to annually.

| Great for families with kids

Several great playgrounds, an awesome looking pool / splash pad that was still closed for the season. Hiking trails, sidewalks for jogging. We camped for 3 nights on B loop. Web site says it's woodsy and they mean it. Sites not level so come with levelers ready. We have kids and next time we stay here we'll opt for C loop as it's flatter, less scrubby, closer to a playground and more suited to young kids. All in all we enjoyed our experience and will be back next time we're in the area.
