Be sure to read the access directions! We followed our Trucker/RV GPS and found ourselves unable to turn around and barely made the turn off a one-lane bridge into the park! The park is decent but over priced even for a KOA. The pool was closed for the season. The access road is narrow, rough, and dusty. The sites were level, reasonably spaced, and utilities were well placed.
We stopped here for the night on our way southwestwards. It is a nice family campground on the banks of a creek. Friendly staff, quiet place. Big rig friendly. Good Wi-Fi. Small petting zoo with a cute black mini piggy and several lambs. There is a diner/restaurant on site and they make pizza and wings. It is a bit muddy as it is a river flood plain, so if you have dogs, a site closer to the office is better. Very pretty garden!
Aside from the smell of the cows, and the late party that only broke up because the late night racing was drowning them out so they couldn't hear themselves party, it's a nice looking place.
Just needed a place to overnight so we figured a KOA is always nice and clean and organized. Wrong on all counts. Sites are right on top of each other and was given a short shallow site to try to park my 30' fifth wheel. I did, but took at least a half hour to park. This place is a mess. KOA must have done away with all of their standards. The roadway coming in was all blown apart too. Do yourself a favor by avoiding this place. Plus... we had to pay $55 for the privlege of being aggrevated. Never again.
$75 for a campsite? And that's with the KOA card discount! We were tired so we stayed there anyway, sorry we did. Campground is small and dated. Rip-off. Makes me seriously reconsider KOA's which had been our default choice for an overnight stop
Park is well kept. Facilities are immaculate and attractive. Staff extremely helpful.
Yes the road is a little narrow to get into the campground but it is a BEAUTIFUL , QUIET AND FRIENDLY PLACE TO STAY ! We would much rather here crickets instead of highway noise !!
Nice quiet one night stop on a mid September trip to points further north. The staff was very friendly, the bathrooms were very clean. A few of the spots are tight to get into but mostly level. I'd definitely stay here again. I felt it was slightly pricey given the wifi was close to unusable, the little diner was closed for the season, and you are a bit off the. beaten path for a one night stop.
We love coming here with our travel trailer. The spots directly on the creek are spacious and the views are excellent. There are goats, chickens, and little pig you can watch and the folks who work here are so friendly. The facilities are always clean. We love it!
We just stayed overnight. We were given the smallest site, and near the goats. I should have stayed at Walmart!
Our site, #37, was a joke ! . . . MUDHOLE, NOT LEVEL, The power circuit breaker kept shutting off, so we connected to the next door site. The cable TV cable was buryed in the mud. MOVE ON, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY HERE !
This KOA was a nice overnight! Friendly staff. Dog friendly also. It is a little pricey but it is a family owned biz so we didnt mind paying the price. We were treated very well. They have cute little lambs a couple of goats chickens fresh eggs for sale & even a floppy eared rabbit hopping around the campgrounds. Familys were respectful and just there to have a good time. Huge creek for fishing etc. Looks like some creekside sites will be flooded with a good rain. It is only 2.miles off the highway. Road into.the campgound is gravel w some puddles but we made it in fine with 37 ft motorhome. I would definitely stay here again.
Cable didn't work, WiFi didn't work, muddy sites, short pull thru, down 4 miles of country roads, not suitable for overnight.
