Spectacular sunset viewing
By user-6106329... on 2017-10-23.
Located on US 50 between Pueblo and Cañon City. About 30 minutes from Royal Gorge to the west. 15 minutes to Florence a great antiques shoppers paradise. The western mountain view and eastern open plane gives stunning sunset/sunrise, wildlife and star gaze viewing.
The sites are gravel, very spacious and long. No problems moving big rigs with toads around. Clean large pool, super clean bathrooms, laundry room. The owners are friendly and work hard to make your stay an easy one. Some amenities may be dated in style but everything is clean and the location is a perfect between town spot. Camped in TT

We were there sometime in September, 2013. We stayed an extra day it was so nice. The owners care very much about their campground, and it showed . The bathrooms/shower were old but very clean with their personal touch showing. They are in the process of fixing up their park but the spaces are large, level and they will put you in a space that has the power you need. We were lucky and got there when a new food vender was sampling his great food to the owner and employees, and insisted we try some. It was great! Later, when I was walking the park, I came upon a "full-timer" who had a rather large garden. I talked with him for quite a while and left with squash and tomatoes! They were delicious! The park is not fancy, but clean and the owners REALLY CARE about their park, and that is what is really important! Karen Lamey

I needed A welder and a camp site.....

Booking a site at Haggard's, I asked on the chance they could recommend someone to do some welding on my trailer. As it turned out, Matt and Nancy (owners) also own a machine shop in Pueblo. Matt meet me there at 3:00 on a Sunday, did a professional weld job on my down support and even painted the repair. I could have wasted another day and never got a better job.
The camp sites are large, clean and a beautiful view of the mountains. We even had antelope in the field next to our site. Nancy was very friendly and helpful making this a great stay. Highly recommend staying here, thank you again for your help Matt.

Very clean facilities, young trees so not a lot of shade. Very windy the end of June. Maybe a constant thing not unpleasant just whistles!
Clean showers and restrooms and a lovely pool as well. Staff is very helpful and accommodating.

This is our second time here. Not the fanciest, but you can t beat the hospitality extended by the owners, Matt and Nancy!! Sites are gravel, level and include a picnic bench. There are not a lot of shade trees. The restrooms were clean, laundry room was small, but efficient. The pool is a wonderful added bonus. Great location to explore the area from Canon City to Pueblo and beyond.

Park is open, with a spacious dog park, level sites, and phenomenal owners. As we pulled in, our truck was getting a flat and we were quickly given a site. Nancy, one of the owners, called a few guests that were in town to see if they could pick up a patch kit. The grounds are clean with a lot of thoughtful touches, as an example the ladies bathroom is like enjoying a shower in your own home. There s a small swap library, clean laundry room, and lots of smiles from everyone.

Spent several days here in mid July @ $27.00 per night. Super friendly owner. Strong internet at 5 Mbps, great phone service and several OTA TV stations. Owner warns of iron in water. ucky tasting!! Nice unheated little pool, great laundry and showers are clean with good water pressure. Lots of grass and doggy area. Only bad is power low. Owner is aware and does what she can to minimize. While here, there was a unprecedented heat wave. 104 degrees over several days! Power dropped to 108 volts. Otherwise, a great little RV park. Will stay again.

We needed to add an extra night due to tire issues. They were very helpful and accommodating. Fairly level and wide spaces. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Vast open view of the mountains.
