Parking right on the water. Store had a lot of supplies. Chips, beer, coffee, marshmallows never tried fishing here but it's a great place to take a boat or stand up paddle. They have a laundromat and a little playground for kids it's no KOA. But I've been able to camp right on the water makes this a fun little off-season getaway for us might get crowded in the middle of summer not sure we don't travel there during the summer

We stayed here for a week over Memorial weekend in a motorhome. Good:Right on the water for easy fishing, boat launch, swimming pier. Some shaded spots. Sights were easy to get into and out of. Ann, the manager was very helpful in locating us a spot. Store well stocked. Nice playground for children. Quiet most of the time. Bad: Needs lots of TLC. Bathrooms need updating. Electric hookups need updating. Several old, deteriorating, permanent campers that need to be taken out. One was next to us, and we ended up with a spider invasion. This is not a resort, and there is no lodge. No frills. Internet didn't work. Dogs run loose. One tried to bite my husband. Reported it to manager, but nothing was done about it. Might be Okay for overnight, but not long stays.

| Directly at the water!

We had no reservation and just wanted to stay one night. For guys like us there is a whole area at the end of the campground where several RVs will have enough room and space. This area is (like most other sites) directly at the water! We parked only 10 foot from water where you can also swim...

Cons: Park owners have not been interested in making repairs or improvements for sometime. Many permanent coaches that are rundown and dirty, but are parked on the best sites. Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff; outstanding location right on the water. And the best news, new owners as of about 2 months ago. We spent 4 days here using it as a base while touring the Outer Banks and Norfolk. That did require driving a little more than we wanted, but convenient that we didn't have to move the coach. In that time the staff told me that the new owners are drawing up plans for major renovation and improvements. This is a place to watch.
