We had just paid to have our RV washed the day before, and now it's a mess due to the muddy roads leading to this site, which is quite a ways from the highway and paved roads. It is apparently for hunters, as we've been hearing gunshots in the area all night.

| Wonderful RV Park!

At exit 144 the water pump on our truck went bad. A kind gentleman towed us to Hanson Hills. The owner, Sterling, was kind and considerate of our situation. The campground was very clean, quiet, and very well-maintained. We'll stop here again.

| Great for an Overnight

By user-6554790... on 2017-10-23.

Our overnight stay was great. New owners Mary and Sterling have put up easy-to-follow signs making the drive from the interstate only 1.5 miles. The road is unpaved and wash-boardy in a couple of spots but easily driven at safe speeds. We asked for, and got, a level site and spent a delightful evening in a gorgeous setting. This area of Missouri does not have a lot of options for RV's. Lucky that this one is so nice. We travel with a 30 foot 5th wheel.

| Not a One Night Stand

This is a beautiful piece of property and I'm sure we would enjoy coming back and spending a few days. We got in after hours and the owner met us at the office, checked us in (VERY reasonable prices) and escorted us to our site. Now the not so good part. The RV park was 5 miles off I70 down a narrow windy road via our GPS directions. There are 2 entrance signs-we turned at the first one and had to back out onto the gravel road to get to the main entrance. Our pull-through site was not level and we don't unhook and set up if we're just passing through. Neighbors very close on both sides. I'm sure it would be fun to spend some time there but I would not recommend it for a quick overnight. We travel with a 5th wheel.

| Unable to stay....

My wife & I stopped in to spend an overnight (Thursday) at this campground. First off, i would have to say that the staff were very polite & friendly. I in getting directions to get to the camp a long gravel road was mentioned. What wasn't, was that the long gravel road was mostly washboard road. We had to creep along slowly to keep from shaking the RV apart. Once at the camp it looked nice. Upon checking in the office had to radio someone to check where to put us because their "weekend people" were due in the next day. From the office to the site it would have been better to have a quad or mountain bike. Once we arrived at the site we realized that we were facing up a hill that would have required the back of our 38' unit to be 3+ feet off the ground to even come close to level. Looking around it seemed that only two of the pull-thru sites seemed to be on less of an incline & the had very old "permanent" RV's parked on them. We ended up leaving this park for a more suitable location. To be fair, they did cheerfully refund our fee. If we were in a smaller unit or tent camping this would probably be a great place to stay for a weekend.

We had a wonderful time during our short stay. Would love to come and stay again for a longer visit, there was so much we didn't get the chance to explore. The owners are wonderful and very helpful people.

| Outstanding customer service

Made a call to this campground as we were traveling and they told us to give them a call when were closer to the exit. They met us at the entrance and guided us to the office and then to a pull through slot which was snowed in after we parked he came back and plowed the area to ensure that we could get out if we needed to. They ensured that if we needed anything to just give them a call at any time.

Very nice spot. Yes it is about a mile approach on a gravel road but worth the slower drive. Pool and 2 ponds for fishing, trails, 2 playground areas. Well maintained and very helpful owners. There s also a little spot in the office store for food - breakfast - lunch cooked to order.
