Reviews for Happy Trails RV Park

| Little creepy

By user-5899995... on 2017-10-23.

This place was well manicured but the owner/manager I just wanted to empty out my tanks and fill up on fresh water while I was in the road. The check in-office had some hard to read handwritten signs. I thought $20 for the dump station was too steep for this little place but I really needed to empty the tanks. The owner/manager rolled up to me on a lawnmower with a cigar hanging out of his mouth. He decided to drop the price down to $10, which I appreciated, and he escorted me to a slot I could use. It was really hot and humid, but instead of letting me do my business. He wanted to try to convince me to stay the night. It creeped me out how much he insisted, and sweat was dripping off my face before I even got started. I think it was worth the $10 to dump my tanks in the middle of the day, but definitely would avoid when it's less bright out...

This place has a big CLOSED sign. But there were a few rvs parked in there. A big wide-open field. I don't know why the closed sign.

| Nice no thrills RV park

This is a nice no thrills RV park. It is quiet and convenient to Selma, Smithfield, Clayton, Garner and Raleigh. They have the best rates on I-95! The owner goes above and beyond to ensure your set up and good to go. Disregard the older reviews as the new owner has cleaned up all the BS. Most of the folks here are travel contractors and over nighters.
