https://www.recreation.gov/camping/heyburn-park/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=73202 Been camping here over 30 years. Love the peace and quiet.
We really enjoyed our space with a view of the lake. There were trees for shade and plenty of room to spread out a bit.
Needed a place for a night and happened across this gem. Not far off I-44 although the roads are either dirt gravel or a little rough in places. Had a nice spot right on the water with electric only although there are sites with both water and electric. Very clean and quiet. The main bathroom/shower was clean though we never used it. The outlier bathhouses were small and very basic. Staff was wonderful and with our National Park Pass paid a whopping $10 for the night. What a deal!
