Gun range right next to campground shooting all day and half the night
We stopped here for one night and found it to be lovely. Nice campsites, plenty of green space, full and partial hookups, very friendly office people and campers. Great spot for one or multiple night stay. Many of the sites are full time or full time rentals for locals. They were beautifully kept and many were decorated charmingly outside. This place has it all, 18 hole putt putt, pool, playground, lots of common picnic tables for get togethers (plus each site had their own), pavilion.....really nice place. If we wanted to permanently or seasonally park our unit and if we lived near enough I would seriously consider here. The only downside (hence the 4 star rating) is there is a gun range near by....and you can hear it....but frankly we were not the least disturbed by it and it stopped at dusk. We will be back. We were camping in a fifth wheel.
Rate is $34 for W/E. Pull thru site next to shooting range. Hope they run out of shells soon. Nice place. Convenient from 24 hwy.

Wow what an experience. Not unpleasant either. Full of happy weekend campers. We got last site in park. Long pull thru. We are 43 plus toad. Would stay here again. Great over night.
Very quiet place and friendly staff. Shooting range close by but it didn't last very long. Nice little nugget in the IL flats.
Mostly a seasonal full-service campground but many nice mature-treed water and electric sites are available for short term.
