We moved in and October came and he said we had to pay elec! And one of my operators had skirting around his camper and owner went up there during the day and tore skirting off. While operator was a work. This place is a ghetto slum. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

nice place during the day but was a little fearful at night. stayed close to the camper since when we checked in... we were greeted by the Sons of Anarchy. guys weekend away-sure. family trip with young kids not so much. pool was NOT able to be used.

We live in yorkville. Stay away from this place, it is not a campground. It is a slum where the "homes" just happen to have wheels. Full of permanent trailers that are rented out as full time residences. Place is always featured in the local paper, on the police blotter page.

The previous review "Kind of a shame" pretty much covered it all. Road coming in is awful. Beautiful area in the back with trees, grass sites and river. But the view is offset by the piles of debris, abandoned trailers and rv's with trees and bushes growing through them and the abandoned swimming pool that has seen better days. Abandoned cabins probably were nice at one point. With not much effort this place could truly be beautiful and be a really nice place to stay. On a positive note, the daily rate is inexpensive and the people that run it are nice.

Stayed there 6 weeks while working in the area Its a shame this place is what it is because it has some great natural features. A couple small lakes, lots of trees, little par 3 golf, and access to the Fox river (that is a really nice 45 minute float on property) This ain't no KOA A lot of problems could be fixed with a bulldozer and some matches starting with the pot hole road and clearing some of the junk abandoned trailers. There's a lot of trees that have started taking over lesser traveled roads in park. I'm not going to judge everyone there by the amount of cop cars I saw everyday because I met some good decent people who have camped there for years and were very nice to me and my love. The weekly/daily camping area alot nicer than the monthly seasonal as better maintained and a lot flatter. Would only stay again if last resort

Not bad, friendly staff and people staying there. There's a couple of army guys there that make us feel safe, and a few other AGENCIES represented. The front is your full timers, and fun to meet. There's great fishing and fun trails to explore. Who really cares about the roads, we just look at it as part of the experience.....

We were a little fearful to say the least. Sketchy. The security guard scared me more then the campground. Not a restful night sleep! The full time folks in rundown campers washing clothes with a hose!
