The other key ingredient that we have here is the Little Manatee River. The river is formed in a swampy area near Fort Lonesome and flows almost 40 miles before emptying into Tampa Bay. The river has been designated an Outstanding Florida Water. This peaceful, gently flowing water links the interior coves with the salt water sport fishing of Tampa Bay - a dream come true for those who love to fish! The secluded park on the Little Manatee River offers 350 full hookup sites with 30 and 50 amp services. Shady or sunny sites are available. Air conditioners and heaters are allowed, for a fee cable TV and phone hookups are available through companies for the seasonal and annual guests at Hide-A-Way RV Resort. Planned group activities are offer during the winter.
