Reviews for High Desert RV Park

| Great park

By user-5803695... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-04-01 to 2017-04-30

Stayed month of April. Very nice staff, great location as we traveled on day trips most every day. Be sure to take in the INDIAN POW WOW end of April. Restrooms best we've experienced.

When I made reference to the ANIMAL'S THAT MAKE PITS AGGRESSIVE, I meant the IDIOT, MORONES, BLOOD THIRSTY, MONEY GRUBBING, HEARTLESS CREEPS. That's me trying to edit myself.

| Nice Park

By user-5813040... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-09-21 to 2017-09-22

We enjoyed our one night stay here while headed cross country. Nice spacious site, good size dog parks, private bathrooms that were very clean + super friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.

| Good place to stay

By user-5897197... on 2017-10-23.

Stayed for month of September. Lot was decent size with picnic table. Reasonable rates with electric. Told they were booked during balloon fiesta but that was not true at all. Doubled lot rent first day of October. Had 3 dog parks. Two had benches that were iffy to sit on. Would stay again if passing through.

| Nice and Quiet

By user-6273046... on 2017-10-23.

I stayed for a month in 2011 and found it safe, quiet, clean and friendly. Would stay without hesitation again. To the reviewer writing about the park refusing to let you stay with a Pit Bull; that is almost a universal restriction at RV Parks. I'm grateful for that restriction.

| Attractive RV Park, Test Electric B4 Settling In

By user-5049554... on 2017-10-23.

Friendly guy at the desk. Beautiful clubhouse with small supply of snacks & drinks for sale as well as waste hoses etc. Graveled sites w/picnic benches. Seems well maintained generally but space 204 had a fault at the electric service. #203 was fine. The two sites we tried are slightly off level if that is a concern. Our rig is classic & small lacking auto levelers but our fridge is forgiving so for one nite it was fine. Desk man expressed doubt that our electric fault tester was accurate as to site 204. Our model is very accurate. Very pet friendly park with 3 pet areas. Park is clean and offers free WiFi but you need to ask for code. They offer a very nicely done 2014/15 park brochure listing points of interest, emergency numbers and even a list of churches. Camping world is nearby as is a propane dealer. Credit cards accepted and a discount is given for various memberships including Good Sam. We paid just under $24.

When you look them up & all the icon's show the amenities, it has a DOG on it. What it doesn't say is they "BAN PIT BULL'S" So before your sooo tired on the road, in the middle of the night, don't be deceived by the nondisclosure of law specific ban on certain breeds of dogs. I Rescue Pits, & it's very SAD that they are being punished because of the ANIMAL'S THAT MAKE THEM AGGRESSIVE !!!!!!

| Meh

By user-5844253... on 2017-10-23.

Spots were level, staff was very friendly, WiFi worked, and the office dog was fabulous . But... pit bulls, bird feeders and rigs older than the year 2000 are not allowed. Our neighbor's dog would have taken my leg off if it hadn't been tied up and it was not a pitty. The shower head in the ladies shower didn't attach to the holder. All gravel and pavement, like a parking lot.

| Super Clean

By user-5809847... on 2017-10-23.

My family stayed in many RV parks as we traveled west from TN. This park had the cleanest bathrooms, a great laundry area, free coffee, and a game room with TV, a pay and play pool table, and board games available. The staff was friendly and the price was awesome. We will definitely stay here again.

| Dang Yellow Poles

By user-6342454... on 2017-10-23.

Very nice campground. Gravel sites, clean, nice people. Mountains to view. But beware of concrete yellow poles either dividing sites or protecting utilities. Extremely tired when pulling into pull through site we decided to only plug in. That is when we hit the pole and damaged the side of our RV. Lucky no too bad.

We were on our last leg of our trip from Dallas to Los Angeles. We were exhausted and needed to stop. This place was an Oasis. For the price, they were amazing. Called ahead, as I would arrive late. They had everything ready for us and we stayed the night. We used the showers the next day and the laundry before we pulled out. The game room was nice and relaxing. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

| Neat, clean and a good value

By user-5827906... on 2017-10-23.

Stayed in a 43 foot mh with large sites and good power. Great access to downtown and a friendly staff.

| Easy access, clean and level sites

Very nice, affordable RV park. Great views. Level, roomy sites for slide-outs. Well kept and has friendly staff.

| One of the best!

By user-5895001... on 2017-10-23.

Organized, neat, well lit, well landscaped, new and clean facilities. This would be a five star if it had concrete pads and a few more trees.

| Not a bad park.

By user-6437538... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2014-07-07 to 2015-03-07

We stayed at the park for about four months. The staff was really nice with the manager on site. The dog park was fine and the comfort stations at the main building nice while the other was a bit dated. Our only complaints were road noise (but it was also convenient)and that the electricity was super expensive. They sold propane and you could also setup mail service. CW is just across the freeway which could be good if you needed services.

| Nice park

By user-6457849... on 2017-10-23.

Friendly staff, nice clubhouse, plenty of room for slideouts, quiet park, paved lots.

| Convenient to Albuquerque

By user-4660573... on 2017-10-23.

Nice park, paved roads, nice large level gravel sites. Not much shade. Very easy on/off of I40. Close to Old Town and some great petroglyph viewing! Some road noise, but nothing that disturbed our sleep. Would absolutely stay here again.

| Very good RV Park

By user-5858823... on 2018-05-17. Stayed 2018-04-11 to 2018-04-12

Very clean, well managed RV Park. The staff are excellent, and the facilities are in very good condition. Although there were several WiFi spots around this 80+ site park, the speed and connectivity was very slow.

| Good overnight stop

By user-6143459... on 2018-07-06. Stayed 2018-06-14 to 2018-06-15

Staff friendly. Near I-40 but quiet. Clean. Bathrooms exceptionally clean. Happy with the price.

| Safe and secure

By user-5352695... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-09-12 to 2018-09-13

Safe, great pull through spaces, 30 & 50 amp FHU, reasonable price. Office closes PROMPTLY at 8:00 PM so don t arrive late cuz no one to answer phone or check you in Only reason for 4 stars was because of freeway noise which is unavoidable if you want an easy on and off for an overnight stop!

| Nice stay

By user-5833069... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-08-25 to 2018-08-26

Stayed 1 night, 50w, water, didn t utilize sewage. Well lite, got there at 2005 (805pm) office closed, no answer on phone, no packet left as expected, found our own sight, pulled in & hooked up. Spots are gravel & slightly off level but firm. Semi close to interstate but not very noisy, would stay again.

Sites were gravel, mostly level and large. Also, three nice fenced in dog parks. We liked this park.

Great clean park. Very easy check in with good information. Large long sites. We stayed in a 36 foot 5th wheel

| Best stop ever

By user-5944198... on 2019-08-09.

In 3500 miles this was the best stop yet. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Laundry and bathroom facilities were exceptional and very clean. Wonderful fenced dog run area. Even a vacuum station to clean up the RV with armor all, glass cleaner available to purchase at the dump station. First class.

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

Nice park just as it appears in the app. Friendly staff at check-in. The restroom/showers were very clean as was the entire park. Only drawback is lack of shade, but it is the desert so no real suprise! Sites are level and the hook ups easy to access although depending on your rig, might need an extension section for the sewer hose. Nice dog area which is fenced. Also a nice amenity is the car vac at the dump station. All in all, would definitely stay here again as it is close to Old Towne and some of the other area attractions without being in the city.

This RV park is clean, well managed and convenient. It is next to I-40 so it is not quiet. Good SAM or AARP- $2.00 discounts.

Nice big pull-through sites available. Friendly staff, pool, close to Albuquerque. We stayed here because of our favorite restaurant in town, the D.H. Lescombes Winery & Bistro,
