Reviews for Highlands Hammock State Park

| Very nice State Park

Beautiful park, the trails are great most 30min or less. Rv sites are nice with decent amount of trees. A little narrow and you're close to neighbors. We came with a travel trailer with an overall length of 36ft. Wifi worked very well. Bathrooms are Ok. The new one in the back was very nice. If the sites were wider and had sewer I would give it more stars.

| Great Boardwalks

The hammock boardwalks & trails are well-done. Many of the sites are narrow but the outer edge is more spacious. I've been there several times & have encountered the most rude campers anywhere on more than one occasion. Loud groups seem to come often.

| Great bike lanes

Nice state park. Campground a bit crowded but the road through the park has a bike lane and it is absolutely beautiful. Boardwalk through the cypress swamp is great . Love this park

Great camping with the family highly recommend. Only down fall not full hook up.

| Great park for a long weekend

The sites along the outside are pretty good. Inside ones are small and close together. There is a nice big, new, very clean bathroom in the back of the campground. The older bathrooms in the loops are small and need updating. Bike trails were great. Hiking trails all very short but pretty.

This is a wonderful park on the state of florida. Many of the origional facilities constructed during the depression remain in use for their originally intended purpose. The sites are great and a walk along the catwalk through the swamp is a must do experience. Great Place to unplug, reconnect and start new.

| Ok

Not much to do except ride bikes or walk the loops. Very tight spots and most electric and water are far away on opposite side then usual so bring extensions. Crowd seemed like mainly locals with kids, lots of camp fires and s'mores I'm sure. For us probably wouldn't return but ok place. Needs some upgrades.

We have stayed here twice this year so far wonderful place the park staff are great and so much to see. The Orange ice cream from a local citrus farm is to die for. They are still doing som3 clean up from hurricane Irma mostly trees. Our last visit friends of ours and ourselves had tree branches fall on our rigs. We had no damage but sounded like a boulder fell on top of us unfortunately our friend actually had the branch pierce the roof.
