Spent only one night but the super clean facilities and friendly owner would bring me back. Having all pull throughs is nice Is a large gravel lot but well arranged and well kept.

Driving thru the middle of west Texas leaves a lot to be desired, especially in August. S o nice it's so hot we've been getting up and on the road at 3am and pulling into parks mid morning. We pulled up and I went to check for openings for one night. Office doesn't open till 3pm, but there's a folder with the open spots and a registration sheet. Nothing showed open so we got in RV to leave. As we were discussing our next option, the owner came out, greeted us and asked if he could help. We explained we had been driving and wanted to check in right then (10:45am). He said no problem. Very nice people, very clean park. Shade will be better once trees are grown. Nice big pull thru spots, neighbors friendly, nice doggie patch with tree and grass fenced in. Beautiful new pool, with place to lounge in shade. Would stay there again

Great stop over location. All pull throughs, ultra clean bathrooms, friendly staff, well cared for gravel RV sites. Would stay hear again.

Good ample spots. In the middle of nowhere, dusty and quiet. Great view of the the sunset. Clean grounds. Trees small, not large enough to say they provide shade. OK stop for our overnight stay.

Exactly what we look for in an RV park. Spots were level, hook ups were functional and dog run was just fine. We didn't use showers or bathrooms, but the exterior of the buildings was nice. Great view, quiet yet right off the interstate.
By user-4543949... on 2017-10-23.
We got there at 1am and they had left a note about what open sites they had. We left at 5 so I can only go by what we saw at night. Park seemed super clean. I like being able to check in at night.

My husband and I have been here on a monthly basis as his job brought us to Ft. Stockton. Great rates...clean big sites...great internet and a beautiful pool! I highly recommend this park. We would gladly stay here again. James and Tina Collins 5/15/2017

Great park for an overnight stop! We were traveling with a 44 ft 5th Wheel. Easy access to the park from I-10, sites are generous pull through, and the owners are super friendly! The sites have a small blockade barrier behind the hook ups area, which keeps your dumping, and your neighbor's, "private".....nice touch! Would definitely stop here again!

We were traveling west, and called late in the day to see if they had room for us to stay 1 night. Super friendly couple took us right in and came out late to get us checked in and guided to the RV site. Park was clean and well maintained - restrooms were very clean and stocked. Park was ver quiet, so we got a good nights sleep. The only thing I could suggest to improve the rating would be that if the park had more trees and greenery - but that might be hard to accomplish in west Texas! A great place out in the lonely desert to stop and stay for a night or two. Gave it 4 stars because it gives everything you need in an RV park - a clean, quiet reasonable place to stay. I agree that Fort Stockton is not a tourist destination, but that criteria should never change or determine the star rating of a park. All that the star rating should focus on is: does the park provide you a valuable service? Does the park meet cleanliness standards? Is the fee in line with what is expected, and given? Is it quiet? Just the basics. All other info is just optional (nice info to have, but that alone should not affect the star rating), such as amenities, close tourist attractions, how far to town, services, restaurants, etc.....

This place was clean, well kept, had a doggie park, and a nice pool that's open until 10pm. You couldn't ask for a better, safe, stop over. Some reviews are saying it's windy here....... It's the area.... The campground has no control over Mother Nature. Love the easy pull in and pull out. We will return.
By user-5256144... on 2017-10-23.
Came to stay 3 nights because of car problems. Very nice place. But very dusty and windy. I did not get a site with a slab so I had to wash my dogs paws every time we went for a walk. Clean laundry and bathrooms. The internet was painfully slow.
By user-5893199... on 2017-10-23.
This Rv park is very clean, the staff is very sweet, there's plenty of space. there's nothing to really do here though but it's nice to comeback to after a long day hiking in big bend. fort Stockton has plenty of food spots to choose from. only thing was the wifi signal was poor the further back in the park you were parked.

First off, owners are top notch. Park is level and very well kept. Gravel and dusty (west TX) but nice touches with iron art, fire pit, picnic tables on each pad, etc. Bathrooms feel like guest baths - very homey. Elec meters are only for long termers. Hookups and space for turns easy. Will definitely stay again.

Ft Stockton is not a tourist destination. Had car trouble but this place was great. Very friendly couple owns it. Very nice private bathroom with shower. Nice laundry facilities. Would stay again.

Owner was friendly. He really enjoyed working on the grounds. Sites were gravel and were an ample size. Only used laundry facility. It was clean and well maintained, as well as the rest of the facilities. Would have given higher rating but our visit was during as windstorm.

Searches dozens of other sites in the area.... This was by far the best and cleanest as well as quiet and friendly

Very well-kept park. Friendly & organized. On top of a hill like the park’s name. A bit windy when we arrived. Facilities excellent.
By user-6259062... on 2018-07-06.
Not sure why the really high ratings, but this is an easy stopover. Their after hours checking was easy, and the pull thru sites are easy in/out. Other pros: QUIET! I mean you can hear a pin drop in this park, and there appears to be several long term RVs. We were there on a Saturday night, too. Good dog park, and clean. Because of our late check in, we never saw any staff, but they must be doing a good job! Cons: no TV. The three channels you get from antenna are Spanish, and some odd sports channel. You need satellite here. All gravel sites, very close together. Wifi didn't work.

Pull through level sites with FHUs nicely situated and installed in concrete pads. Picnic table at each site on paver pad. Roads and sites are hard packed desert sand with a young planting at each site and small fence separating you from neighbors utilities. 5 individual bath rooms situated near pool and front of campground were nice and clean it a bit of a dusty walk from the rear sites where overnighter are placed. Nice green grass at front gathering area, dog patch and people park. Interesting metal art work around the park and views of the glass mountains made for a good stroll around the park. WiFi worked well for husband early in day but slowed down later in evening when longer term folks came home. Near fuel and shopping area with grocery stores and Wal-Mart so we resupplied. We would definitely stay here again when passing through.

Very welcoming staff and cheap price. We arrived late, but the service was still great. Nice and clean all around, not too loud but still close to I-10. Close to Fort Stockton. Would absolutely stay here again.
By user-5927736... on 2019-08-09.
Access to the park was very easy, location was exactly as described on the website. The park is close to I10 but there was absolutely no road noise. We had no problems leveling our rig and our site was wide and long. We have a big rig with a tow and had no problem navigating through the park. Our site was at the back of the park and had a nice view from the "hill". Of course, it's a small hill. This is West Texas, so everything is gravel. But even after a fairly wet thunderstorm, the wet gravel stuck together and there were no big wet spots near our site or on the road leading out of the park. The location was convenient to the highway and only a couple of miles from restaurants and shops in Fort Stockton. It is a no-frills park and is the perfect place for an overnight stay. We will return.

We arrived late and everything was ready in the outside desk. Level sites; utilities easy and close. Full individual bathrooms- 2 at bathhouse area (one labeled inside for women) and 3 near pool- all very clean but a little dated. Would stay here again to take full advantage of the amenities. Cash will get you a 10% discount.

Stopped overnight. Owner was great- shuffled things around a little to allow us to stay. Sites were well spaced for a park of this type. Access roads were huge for a park of this type making parking very easy for us newbies.
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
Owner went out of his way to make sure I could get a spot for the night if someone canceled, got the spot, and had a great night sleep. For being so close to the highway you'd never know, was quiet all night. Bathrooms were clean and warm, water pressure and heat in the shower was great. Laundry room was well maintained and worked as needed without a hitch. A great experience overall would use again!

What a relief when we pulled into Hilltop! After passing one long-term work camper campground after another I was praying Hilltop wasn t another one. Yes, they have some long-term campers here, but the park does not have that pipe-line worker feel to it at all. The sites are all pull-thru, and all gravel, tight, but hey, we re not camping out with the kids. They have a beautiful, clean pool. Private shower/sink/toilet rooms - they even have little space heaters In there for chilly mornings. The shower rooms were spotless, you can tell that they take pride in their business here. Close, easy access to businesses across I-10, Walmart, gas, restaurants. We will definitely stay again.
By user-4739273... on 2019-08-09.
Great for an overnight stop. Free WiFi, good. On the Antenna only one (NBC) so good enough for us. Nice cool pool for a hot day. Quiet, so far no trains and even it is close to the I-10 you don't hear the traffic. Great views. Little strange to find it if you let your Google Maps or any other guide you but if you follow their instructions via their Website it is a piece of cake. We sure will come back. We camped at Hilltop RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

My husband and I stayed one night. Office was kind enough to call us right back to fit us in. Clean facilities, open packed gravel spaces. Pull thru, FHU, and extremely helpful staff. Came in late and very easy after hours check-in. We read some reviews about frivolous things.... We are adults, we are self sufficient, bring a hot spot for streaming an antenna for live and if you want succulent green fields camp in the east! Would stay again for the friendly staff, clean facilities and easy access to I-10. Thank you for being so accommodating, considering this is our first year of full rving!
