If you are looking to stay a while. The HHI MC resort is a great spot. One of the nicest. Spaces are generally wide and long. All paved, concrete or pavers. Super nice and friendly. Well kept. Great amenities

This is a beautiful, well-maintained motor coach (only) resort. Close to tons of shopping and dining. The only negatives about the stay were related to our dinghy and dolly. The check-in area can only accommodate 3 coaches, and we had to unload the car and disconnect the trailer before entering the resort, and the attendant parked another coach right behind us (so we couldn't unload!). We had to park the trailer in a remote corner of the resort (fine) but there is no reasonable place to reconnect when leaving, so we hooked up in the middle of the road, in front of another site, in the blazing sun. So, 30 unpleasant minutes, and the rest of the week was great, so a good average. It was a really nice place to spend our anniversary (if you can't be at Fort Wilderness!).

I love this Motor Coach Resort! Clean, quite feels like home. Everyone is so friendly. Love the cooled pool water on a hot summer day! Area is very bike friendly and a 10 min ride to the beach.

We absolutely LOVED this place. Stayed in 373 spot. Everyone was so friendly and it was beautiful and clean. Nicest park we have ever been to!

We have stayed here for 6 years and it is a beautiful resort. However, it is now under New Management and they have raised the daily rates and eliminated the weekly and monthly discounts. It cost us over $2300 for the month! Prior month in NC resort of comparable quality was $700. We will not be returning.

Very well maintained lush resort. This is a large resort with many amenities. There are some low hanging branches to watch for. When checking in pull off to the right after the office while you wait for escort to your site. Go ahead and unhook your tow car here. The Office staff is friendly and helpful. An Escort will show you to your site and help you back your Rig into site. All sites are guaranteed to have an outside table and four chairs, otherwise, it depends on what the site owners offer. Most sites will be difficult to pick up satellite due to thick vegetation.
Our site was #315 which was lovely. It had a wooden bench, metal chairs, and tables, but no cushions. We were able to get one satellite to lock on so we were able to get satellite. Cable was available, but we did not use it. This site was level, stamped concrete, across from the lake but no real lake view. It was noisy during the day because of all the yard work being done.
We had 4 bars Sprint using our WeBoost fast enough for streaming.

We came here for the first time last December 2017 and fell in love with the island and the resort. The resort is very lush with palm trees and mature pines and oaks making the resort very shady and natural. This is an owner resort and we didn’t know that when we first arrived. We ended up purchasing a site because we loved it so much. Everyone here is so nice. The staff is helpful and very friendly. The resort is extremely clean and well maintained. We stayed again this Winter and we were so happy we did. There is so much to do on the island including restaurants, golf, bike riding, beautiful visiting the reserves, and of course the beautiful beach. Everything is here on this island. Savannah is so close and so was Charleston. We have seen a few bad reviews and we totally disagree. They’re always going to be issues wherever you go. Yes they did raise the price per night but compared to some places we have been, it is reasonable. It is truly paradise to us.

We stay here frequently when in this area. Facilities are superior, people all very friendly, grounds are immaculate, pool is huge and well kept.
It feels like paradise every time...a touch pricy but worth it

Inspection of resort prior to booking

First of all the one star Is only to get your attention
That said this is a nice park but we choose to pass Our reason being after our drive through inspection was that when you have a 45 foot long and almost 14 feet tall with slides you need space Many of the pads were wide but many were not A lot of them were deep many were not We cant see booking a stay and arriving only to find whats left to choose from restricts your ability to open the coach up or how to get into certain spots if there was a coach across from you
On our visit we did see one 45 foot coach but that spot and the other nice one was taken
Just trying to be helpful and not run down the place Staff were nice, park was clean and if your under 40 foot you will have no worries

This place is amazing! No other campground will live up to this one. Just beautiful, had a nice, private site, lots of amenities, great location....loved it!
