By far the best state park I have been to in Ohio. So many hiking trails. Campground has a pool an nice shower house. Have to check out rock house if you go. Is like the smokies in Ohio beautiful. This is a must check out state park
This is another campground you need to do your homework on. Some sites are level and some are really not. Some sites rated for a 30' unit shouldn't be. Pictures on the web page don't show the contours. Some sites drop off from your trailer door rapidly. Saw one trailer with a large crate under their rear jacks just to reach the ground. Some sites your fire ring is almost behind your neighbors trailer and some are on the back side of your trailer. The park itself is awesome.
Stayed in RV campground. Got to see what the cabins look like. They were beautiful. RV campground several different options. Full hook up... Campground was pretty booked so we only got to get one with the electric. The trails are awesome. Great caves to look at. Beautiful waterfalls. Absolutely no cell phone reception so it get you away from the world for the weekend.
Showed up on a Wednesday afternoon without a reservation. Had no trouble getting a site on a chilly April day. Hiking trails are amazing, campground seems great. Will be back!
We camped at the end of July. Came on a Thursday, got set up went exploring. It got crazy toward the weekend. Best time is to come in the middle of the week. It s a beautiful park. Reminds me of Jurassic Park. With that in mind, only a few trails I would recommend for little kids. Most trails can be very narrow and steep. We had to hurtle countless boulders. It s worth it in the end. Some of the views are breath taking.
Great place to stage yourself to visit the natural canyon (aka caves) nearby. You can walk to them, or drive over to the other parking lots. Its really an awesome natural wonder.
Great place to stay and so close to a good majority of the trails and dark park.
