| Hey, at least you're in Yosemite

We had site 5. If you are an RV., bring 3-6" of leveling blocks. I came prepared, but still could have used more. Every RV (and pop up) had at least one wheel off the ground. It is pretty, and the trees are so tall! Sites are layed out strangely, and we had two tent sites where they had to walk right by our site to unload their stuff. Tenters today are loud. Families have screaming kids, come in after 10, make lots of noise getting their dinner and getting set up. This was unexpected for me, and people came and went everyday. The drive to the valley was not as bad as I thought. It was great to see the views everyday. Staying in the valley would have been much more convenient, you can catch the shuttle and bike on the trails a lot more easily. As there are no showers, my tip is to go to Half Dome Village (formerly Curry Village) and pay $5 to use their pool. The showers there are great! The pool is awesome and picturesque. There is also wifi there. I loved Yosemite, but would maybe stay outside of the park if I couldn't get a site in the valley, or I'd book into Half Dome Village. $26 per night....no showers, hilly sites...you're paying to be in Yosemite.

We loved the park. With RV30 there are not many slots. (87-93) You can use dead wood for fire. Of course no hookups. But drinkable tap water.

In the woods and close to the trails. It's simple, but they have fresh water and flushed toilets. We would choose it again! They have a lot of spaces.
