Very nice campgrounds just minutes from the beach ( yellow section). Loved my stay!

Do. Not. Stay. Here unless you are driving a golf cart towing a tear drop camper! We drive a 30 foot RV towing a CRV, and it was a nightmare getting into this place. This place should be ashamed trying to cram this many campers into a such a small area. The sites are all grass, and you are right next to your neighbors! Forget sitting outside, no place to sit except on top of the sewer connection. There are children riding motorized scooters everywhere, and not looking for rigs trying to cram into their spot. The central section of this campground is going to be turned into long term sites. I believe they are doing this because these people can't get their big rigs out without damaging the rigs right next to them. They do pick up your garbage twice a day, they do lead you to your site, and the young men working in the front office are great! The pool is beautiful. These are the only good things I can say about this place. I will NOT be back because I don't like feeling claustrophobic when I camp.

PROS: Fantastic location. Friendly and professional staff. Family oriented, if you have kids. CONS: Tight, tight, tight. If towing, you have to unhook outside the park. You cannot make the narrow turns. Hard to believe the paths were designed for cars much less campers and RVs. Tight sites. Probably the tightest we've ever seen. Expensive. We paid $128 a night. You read that right! However, we are here for Fourth of July, so we are paying premium price. It's probably double what it usually is. It's tight here, and very busy. Golf carts zooming around constantly, kids, etc. A lot of activity. So again, I imagine this is really fun for families. Our personal preference are the more quiet parks with less chaos. Golf carts are a thing on Emerald Isle, and everyone either has one or rents one. Nobody in the park seems to follow the 5 mph rule, and most carts are zooming around as fast as a cart can go. And because the carts are so popular, you have tight spots, with everyone cramming in their vehicles onto their spots too. No dog park or dog run, despite just about everyone having a four legged family member. And because the sites are so tiny, it is really hard to find a place to potty your dog without going onto someone else's site, even if just a little bit. All in all, I would recommend this place if you have a family, or are coming down with a large group, and are not bothered by a lot of activity. And are not bothered by really tight spaces. I do not recommend this place if you are looking for peace and quiet. I do understand from a business perspective, that this prime property, and seasonal. So they are going to cram folks in, charge a high price and make their money. I get that. Emerald Isle is a beautiful place.
