Had to arrive later than expected because of traffic in another state. Called to explain, but was told that they cancelled my reservation. They weren't flexible at all.
So-so campground. Good for quick stopover but no longer than that.
The daughter of the owner was ( sorry I don't remember her name) very courteous and helpful. Our first trip with our new 35 ft. pull type, had a pull thru site. It was a very quiet location and peaceful. It rained most of the day on Saturday but the family still had a good time.
Might be ok if you have a very small unit. Terrible roads, boulders intentionally placed in the worst places. Very poor power, could only draw 19 amps. We did fine on REAL 30 amps in Goshen, both a/c ran fine pulling 28 amps. Not here, can run one a/c and that is all. Terrible VZ Data service, too. These small old parks are the pits. A rest area and running generator would have been better. If I turn on the electric water heater, the a/c shuts off. No sewer either. Obviously, couldn t run the washer or dryer anyway. Rated 1 star, more than they deserve. Never should have told us to come when I called.
Bob and Toni owners of Honey Bear were very nice and accommodating even though as we were passing through for a one night stay and the weather is cold and rainy (March 2019)we still had a wonderful relaxing hot shower in their clean bath house! Also rates were reasonable...
Nice and quiet place. When we were there it was very very wet, so a lot of mud. But we had a pleasant stay anyway. Nice and friendly hosts.
