Nice clean park & camping area. Easy in, easy out. Easy access to dump. Like the security gate to the camping area. Good well maintained hiking trails with lots of historical significance. Friendly staff. Just in one day on trails we saw wild hogs, rabbits, roadrunners & heard coyotes.

| Very unusual camping - and beautiful

You can look up why this place is historic. Its unusual because this historic park also caters to rock climbers, so protection of the Indian artifacts goes hand on hand with the climbers. They do this through very struck permitting. Many places are only accessible if you are with a liscensed guide. There are guided tours available through the park, reservations are suggested. Note the that the guided tours are not available on Mon. & Tues, so you may be very limited as to what you can see on your own. The campground itself has some very beautiful sites and views. Very nice park, with unusual requirements.

| Beautiful and pre-historic archaeological site

Fantastical rock mountains, unlike anything I've ever seen.....with over 300 separate areas scattered thru out of ancient petroglyphs....some up to 3,000 years old!!! Campground has 20 paved sites, w/e, dumpsite, very nice showers, no cable or ota tv reception, no wifi, and spotty att cell reception (tho' both att and tmobile have strong signal just down the road, if you need it! Park host, Dave is a sweetheart. Must attend a 15 minute orientation video to be allowed into this prehistoric park and experience the sites it contains!
